Commitment; we have wonderful intentions at the beginning of a new and exciting venture in our life that entails our hopes and dreams coming to fruition. We make a promise to ourselves that we will follow through in all areas to ensure our obligation is met. We vow that we will take all the necessary steps to be victorious and triumphant on our journey towards better health and fitness. As our exuberance on our new path begins to fade and it becomes apparently clear that our fairy god-mother will not be appearing to wave her magic wand and make all our aspirations come true, we are left with a choice of following through with our vow to self or not.
Where do you stand this morning on your level of commitment? Are you holding strong? Are you sturdy in your advancement towards your goals? Do you have what it takes to feel for and reach for your dreams? Yes you do, we all do. Today I want you to recommit to yourself and gain further control of your life, your health, your weight, your ability to make the right choice to support your goals. Today I want you to make a conscious decision to take the steps to improve your lifestyle even further. I want you to walk-the-walk and not make an excuse as to why you can’t, won’t, or don’t have time to follow through.
Excuses do nothing but decrease your chances of aspiring to a higher level. Justifications are lies to you and mask your true disappointment in self. Explanations of why you will not follow through with the actions create the unfortunate denial of accomplishments in your life.
Today is the day you take no prisoners. Today is the day you reach for every dream and make it come true. Today is the day that you take it one step at a time. Today is the day that no matter what happens you will see yourself as a winner and accept zero excuses. Today you will put yourself in the position to succeed, because the bottom line is if you don’t, no one else will do it for you.
You can make a difference in your life. Whether your disparity is to make exercise a regular part of your life, eat healthy foods or learn to say no, this is the day that you will make it happen. Why, because you can. Why, because you will take 100% responsibility for every decision you make. Why, because your actions will match your words and you will meet your goals. Yes you can!
