BRICKBATS AND BOUQUETS
Whoever coined the expression brickbats and bouquets summed up the nature of life in these wise words. Or as Dale Carnegie once said: No one kicks a dead dog. Kicks, also known as brickbats, are the jibes from critics or jealous people all too ready to comment adversely or negatively.
Whatever you do there will be critics or jealous people. That is life. So do you let them pour cold water over your plans, efforts and initiatives. Listen to them and learn what you can from them, but never let them make your decisions and knowing what is best for you. Why? Because only you know what is best for you. Give yourself bouquets if others are not prepared to praise, support and enourage your endeavors.
SOOTHSAYER VISION
Your vision trumps the views of others. That is why your vision should prevail over the views of others. Soothsayers and seers are able to predict the future. You certainly have the power to direct the future outcomes, but you have to have the courage to follow. With baby steps or step by step, you can do it. Treat others' views as opportunities to re-evaluate your ideas and to build better ideas and plans, but at the end of the day, make the final decision.
ON COURSE
Being blown off course is too easy. The antidote is to plot a course that is so strong and focused that you will maintain course, rain or shine. Making the world a better place should be the end destination. A laudable goal that overcomes all pirate attacks and thieves of achievement.
NO REGRETS
Have the courage to make the most of each day and then you will have no regrets conce
ing what you create. We cannot say exactly what the future will bring, but one thing is sure. You will have less regrets from making the most of today.
COURAGEOUS EXPECTATIONS
Take action conce
ing your goals. Have the courage of your convictions or goals. You cannot have everything you want, but you can have anything you want. You cannot have it all, but you can make choices and say yes to what you want.
