We pray all day with our thoughts and feelings. We are continually praying whether we are conscious of this fact or not. Our thoughts along with our beliefs and emotions create our lives. There are others factors, like environment, the collective consciousness of your surroundings and your genealogy. Your thoughts (prayers) have brought you to where you are today. Your thoughts and feelings are vibrations (prayers) you send out and the universe gives to you what you send out.
Let's take a step back and view our lives from a different perspective. Look at your life as if it was a movie. You are the director and producer and the main character. In the beginning of the movie we are told what to do, the difference between right and wrong, how we should behave, what we should think and how to be responsible citizens. We were unconscious thinkers. Your movie was being created by another producer and directed by another director. As the years pass, you begin to think for yourself and start to produce and direct your very own movie. Or are you? Are you not being directed by society, your peers, friends and family? We are not yet conscious of the power within us. Then one day we wake up and realize we are the producer, director and main character! We become completely conscious of our thoughts (prayers) and decide to create a life we desire. You are now directing your thoughts and feelings which send out vibrations of what you want and deserve in your life. You begin to appreciate everything you have in your life and be grateful for every moment. You are now the producer, director and star of your film. You know when your prayers have been answered and fulfilled when you are living the movie (life) you desire.
You must believe in the power of prayer, for it to work. If you do not believe in it, it will not work. Understanding the power of prayer can change your life. Open your mind and heart, let in the power.
Because we can pray, we are ordinary people with extraordinary power; we are natural people who can live supe
atural lives.
Joyce Meyer author of The Power of Simple Prayer Here are few examples of the power of prayer from Joyce Meyer's book The Power of Simple Prayer.
Over the phone, our prayer representative prayed with a woman who desperately needed income. She had been working in a job she loved for years as a volunteer, but soon after we prayed, she was offered that same position for pay.
Victoria called our prayer line after being told that her grandson was going to die as a result of a series car accident. She was standing in his hospital room watching the doctors prepare to remove her grandson's life support as she was on the phone praying with us. She later called back to report that her grandson had experienced a miraculous recovery and had been completely restored.
Denise had been on disability for four years. She was unable to stand up straight and was in tremendous pain. After hearing Joyce Meyer pray for healing on a television broadcast. Denise fell asleep. When she awakened, she was pain-free and able to stand up straight.
“Prayer brings the power of God to bear on the situations of our lives.” Joyce Meyer
While I was watching TV, a few months back, I came across this show called Miracles in the Clouds. I decided to watch. There was a story of a team of hang gliders who ventured off, at the same time there was a fierce storm rolling in. The intense storm was moving extremely fast, so fast in fact that four gliders got sucked in. What happens is the storm is like a Hoover sucking up dirt. It happened, four were being sucked up in the storm at a rate of 20 feet per second. The danger was if you go above 7,000 feet, you have a chance to die. At that altitude your body uses up more oxygen that what is available, so in time your body cannot survive. The other danger was lightning. Two of the gliders were able to get close enough to the edge of the storm to get out and safely on the ground.
The power of prayer certainly helped this woman survive what seemed impossible for her to survive!
For the other two, their adventure had just begun. There was a Chinese man and a younger Caucasian women. They were both being sucked up by the storm. The women knew she was going to be okay and prayed...if there are angels out there she knew they would help her to safety.
What happened next was she continued to rise in the storm. She rose to almost 10,000 feet, she became unconscious and eventually descended and started to become conscious again. She was able to steer herself to the ground. They took her to the hospital and she was released a few hours later, with only frost bite in two areas of her body. Truly a miracle! Unfortunately the Chinese man was hit by lightning and died. I have just read "Secrets of the Lost Mode of Prayer" by Gregg Braden. This is a wonderful book that has shed more light on the power of prayer. I highly recommend this book for you if you are truly interested in looking a this power with an open mind. Here are some excerpts from the book...
The four modes of prayer, in no particular order, they are: (1)colloquial, or informal, prayers; (2) petitionary prayers; (3) ritualistic prayers; (4) meditative prayers. When we pray, the researchers suggest that we use one of these four modes - or a combination.
The Lost Mode of Prayer, or the fifth mode, simply invites us to feel a clear and powerful feelings as if our prayers have already been answered.
Use the power of prayer to attract financial success, peace of mind, happiness, good health, meeting the right people at the right time or anything you can think of.
