Creative Destiny
Perhaps there is such a thing as fate and our lives may well be written on a celestial tablet somewhere. But if our lives are indeed predestined, why do we have the freedom to think and act independently? Why are we given the daily choice to pursue success or failure during our brief time on earth? Some may argue that our lives are already predetermined, or perhaps that it is up to each of us to find our own destiny that coincides with a greater plan. But if these suppositions were true, aren’t all our decisions part of the grand scheme? And if so, who’s to say a choice to succeed is any less fateful than the decision to give up, or that the choice to give of one’s self is any less fateful than selfish actions? Who’s to say living a wonderful, successful life, full of joy and good will, is any less a part of this plan than a life of financial or moral ruin? Perhaps some people simply over use the words fate and destiny in an effort to justify poor decisions and on ongoing lackluster lifestyle.

The Hard Truth About Soft-Skills
There are 350,000 opinions (books) on “leadership” on Amazon. You know, for being such a dominating force in the world of business, we really don’t have a clue about the stuff that REALLY makes business run.

***Older Workers Still Have Value
Perhaps it’s my age but I find the best part of American Idol are the qualifying rounds to see who gets to go to Hollywood. Out of the tens of thousands of hopefuls only a few hundred are chosen as “good enough” to advance to the next round. It amazes me how many of the ...
