Dear Dr. Romance: How should I tell her I have feelings for her
Written by Tina B. Tessina, PhD
Dear Dr. Romance:
I'm in my first year of high school, but I have no experience in relationships. I'm in contact with a friend who is a year younger than me, and I recently realized I have feelings for her. She's funny and playful, and I just can't help myself. What's your advice on how I should tell her?
Dear Reader:
You don't need to worry about telling her you have feelings for her. Just invite her out to do something fun, to the next basketball game, to a dance, or to study together. She'll figure out for herself that you have feelings. Take it slowly, one step at a time, and you'll be fine. Read "Guidelines for Successful Dating" for more help. The Unofficial Guide To Dating Again will take you step-by-step through the process of dating, from getting yourself ready, to how to meet new people, to what to say and do on a date. It's designed to make dating fun, safe and successful.

The end of Sleepless in Seattle shifts from "awww" to "aw, no" if one of the two main characters skips the trip to the Empire State Building. As these examples from fiction show, making yourself
