Denmark, an archipelago of over 400 islands, is spread in the northern part of Europe. It the least corrupt country in the world where more than half of the population communicate in English. Therefore, international students find it extremely easy to adapt to the Danish environment. The Danish education system is known for its academic excellence, innovation and creativity all over the world, one of the reasons why Denmark is an ideal study destination for exchange-students. Industry-oriented Courses If you’re looking for a bachelor’s programme, you can choose either of these two modes- a Professional Bachelor’s degree and a University Bachelor’s degree. This ensures that all students receive proper guidance and treatment. Cost of Education and Living The tuition fee in Denmark is considerably low ranging from Euro 6,000 to 13,000 per year. To know the exact fee of the courses, students can go to the official website of the respective university. Students enrolled in higher education exchange programmes are exempted from the tuition fee. The living expenses in Denmark range from 750 to 900 Euro per month, a bit higher than in other European countries. Scholarships Most Danish education institutions offer scholarships to meritorious students under National as well as European schemes. Erasmus Mundus scheme offer scholarships for specific master’s degree courses only. The Government scholarships are awarded as a full or partial tuition fee waiver or can cover living expenses. Accommodation International students must start looking for accommodation well before the beginning of the first semester. There are houses, rooms and apartments available on rent which students can share amongst them and manage their budget effectively. There are student halls of residence especially for international students at an affordable price. Yes, you can compensate for your expenses by working in restaurants for part-time while full-time work opportunities are provided to the graduates only.
