I love being around people who are filled with an infectious enthusiasm for life. They are inspiring and energize me to accomplish my own goals. Wouldn’t you like to be that person? The type of person that others crave to be around? A person filled with purpose and passion for life? Stop wishing you could be and decide that you will be.

The first step is to secluded yourself from the noise of the world outside and listen to what your gut is telling you. This can be done during times of prayer, meditation or by simply closing your eyes and allowing yourself to be in the present moment. Notice what appears to you with a gentle curiosity. You may desire to write your observations in a notebook to determine patterns or to purely inspire you towards your goals.

Next, determine your personal strengths and how they can be employed to get you the life you desire. What do you believe you can do better than others? What do people often compliment you on? What do others in your life often come to you for help with? Discovering your natural talents and abilities helps to lay the groundwork for a passion-filled life.

Think about what you enjoy doing so much that it energizes you even when you are tired. What is something that you do in which you loose all track of time? Also, what do you most enjoy giving to others? This could be acts of service; material gifts; time; words of encouragement; physical affection. The ways in which you make the world a better place, or contributes to the lives of others, are sign posts leading you towards your purpose.

Your personal passion and purpose can be accessed by assessing the ideas, things, places and/or people most inspire you. What you spend your money, time, energy, blood, sweat and tears on is are also valuable indicators.

Keeping a personal notebook or journal will help ensure you stay on the path of a purpose-filled life. Your first entry could be a written contract with yourself to validate the commitment you are making to live abundantly. You may also want to write out a vivid description of this ideal life and spend time each day becoming emotionally attached to it. This can be done via prayer, meditation, visualization, daily affirmations or engaging in activities surrounding your goals.

Create a collage that represents your path, dreams and desires via pictures, quotes and mementoes. Place in somewhere you can see it each day to remind your of where you are going and where you want to place your energy and resources.

Make plans each day to do something that engages you in your new sense of purpose. It is the little things that you do everyday that build up to become the monument of your nnlife. I encourage you to keep a pebble in your pocket as a physical and visual reminder of the things you are doing each day to lay the ground work toward your bliss.

Setting long and short term goals may also be a helpful tool in staying the course. Establish 30 - 60 - 90 day goals as well as 6 month and 1 year goals. Write out what the goals are that you have decided to accomplish and what you are willing to do in order to ensure you achieve them.

Grab hold of the decision today to live a rich, abundant, radiant life that makes the world a better place for you and those whose lives you touch.
