Followers of Christianity have been falling away over the past century right across the world, with many societies becoming more and more secular. For many, religion simply has not been able to satisfy their conce
s and answer those fundamental questions: Why are we here? If there is a God, why do so many appalling events continue to occur? As these questions go unanswered this can leave us feeling more empty and disillusioned.
Perhaps we have reached a point collective conscience that many people now just require more, and are unwilling to accept religion on pure faith alone.
Numerology and Astrology, often described as pseudo-sciences by academics and scientists may provide some answers.
Numerology, an ancient divine system, that works on the premise that our birth names were not an accident and were chosen by our souls before birth. The letters in our names have numbers associated with them, and these transmit vibrations that manifest our experience here on Earth, (or anywhere else in the universe). The Law of Attraction is the process in action, a universal law that says our thoughts are what shape our realities. Our souls therefore have certain objectives to pursue whilst inca
ated in our human bodies, a blue print if you will, to ensure that it meets its objectives for learning. It will arrange events and circumstances in our lives, that are predetermined, to meet each of those goals, therefore gaining insight and self-improvement before moving on to our next inca
ation.
Astrology can also be a highly beneficial in understanding ourselves and life purpose, and be a source of healing and comfort for those who wish to gain a greater understanding of why certain things happened to them in their lives, and enable them to view the bigger picture. This should not be confused with the Astrology we have become used to through media outlets and in magazines that offer only a superficial glimpse for entertainment value. Unlike genuine Astrology, which requires a birth name, date of birth, time and location, and extensive research to be able to provide accurate readings.
Both esoteric sciences when utilized by an expert in the field can reveal our deepest desires and motivations, and give us direction, highlighting what we need to do to become the best that we can be, and achieve our life purpose, and even predict what is likely to happen in the future.
I have a strong belief that it’s not always enough to dismiss out of hand those things that at first glance seem new, or bizarre, and just because they are concepts that do not align with our current way of thinking. As a seeker of truth I would at least investigate a theory and only discard it as such time I believe it is unable to support its claims to my own satisfaction.
Many of us are often unquestioning of research findings published by scientists, with opinions that often contradict themselves with regularity, yet will accept those findings simply because they come under the banner of science, somehow adding to their legitimacy.
Numerology and Astrology also require the ability to test a hypothesis and validate or invalidate a theory, and should therefore not be written off just because traditional science does not wish to acknowledge them.
These do not make the idea of a God obsolete, on the contrary, they may be viewed as a divine gift, a tangible working resource that can enable us to better understand ourselves and our experience here on Earth, and bring us closer to God, if that is your belief. Not to mention being a most edifying experience that when fully utilised can prove life-affirming.
If you have never tried to obtain a Numerology or Astrology reading, I would therefore urge you to do so.

Becoming my own child
I think I might be on to something. I am well aware that my main struggle in this life is conquering my self-worth. When I first came face to face with that fact, the first tip of advice I read was to create powerful affirmations to revert the pattern. Whenever I caught myself with an emotion that reflected my low self-esteem, I would fight back forcefully with a solid affirmation in the hope that the discomfort would go away. I wonder if you've ever walked that path.
