Do You Care About Your Body As Much As Your Car

The human body is like your car. It has an engine and a lot of parts that make it run. It has an electric current that runs through the bloodstream. Just like a car needs fuel in order to run, the body must have fuel which is carried by the blood to the individual cells where it is broken down into energy to operate efficiently. This electrical charge is maintained at a pH balance of 7.36.

The regulation of this balanced level is done by the pancreas, but each organ in the body has its own part to play in order for the body to remain in good health. The life of the body is in the blood, and without the heart to pump the blood throughout the entire body delivering fuel and oxygen to the cells, and removing the waste, the body could not survive.

Every piece in a car has a purpose and so does every part of the body. Every organ has an important function to fulfill in maintaining proper health. When your food intake does not give you the necessary alkaline producing calcium, magnesium, potassium, or sodium the blood needs to take whatever it needs from tissues and bones to keep the right pH balance.

If your body has excess acid it will create fat to store the acid in order to protect itself from the damaging effects of the acids. Osteoporosis is one of the many problems caused by too much acid in the body, because of the need to take calcium from the bones.

Do you ever wonder why it is so hard to lose weight? The pH balance of the body is affected by more than just acid or alkaline foods. It is also affected by emotions, thoughts and words. The blood acid levels can be raised by negative feelings such as anger and lack of forgiveness.

Along with changing your diet to alkaline foods, you can also raise the alkaline of your body by changing your attitude by being more forgiving, more positive and generally happier. Other things to help are getting more sleep, regularly exercising, doing deep breathing exercises, and avoiding any chemicals or pollution that are acidic.

To keep your body from getting too acidic you should avoid smoking, alcohol, soda pop, refined sugar, processed foods, white flour, and many other acidic products found on the food chart. What is best is to eat more of what grows on trees and plants, and eat less of fast, processed foods.

A fresh, raw food diet is the best diet for returning your pH balance to proper levels for optimum health.

We are adapted to survive mild exposures to radiation. After all, the sun is a kind of controlled nuclear bomb and it releases a lot of radiation. Of course, this radiation, and man-made radiation, can also cause cancer and a host of short- and long-term health problems.

"Raw Foods" is a popular phrase these days that is often misunderstood, yet represents a powerful, grass roots health movement. Some people shun the idea, not knowing what it means. Others embrace the idea, not knowing what it means. And that's no wonder, since there are many different interpretations of what it means to be on a raw food diet. Personally, I advocate a plant-based raw food diet. In other words, I suggest eating green leafy vegetables, sea vegetables, other vegetables, nuts, seeds, sprouted seeds, and fruit.
