Environmenet

Environment is not limited to the place we exist. It also includes the company we keep. Who we affiliate with and the energy we attract from others is more of an environment than that of any other place. I for one would rather live in a cold climate where there are warm hearts, then at the tropics high crime and negative people.

The inner environment within each of us is more important than the exte
al environment. Nothing on the outside will effect the inside as much as what's inside (our soul or spirit). It is our internal environment that will decide how we live and interact with the outside.
Thoughts are most important factor to dealing with internal environment. People's thoughts, negative or positive, rub off on you if allow it. Swami Yogananda says that one needs the inspiration of the other's company. Seek out great souls to get uplifted. Spend time with other people who lift you up, especially those who have attained what you seek.

Critical judgment makes environment bad.

Prayer has a strong effect. Remember we can pray anywhere such as a church, in bed, in your car, or rooting for your sports team.
However, God takes note on your internal feeling as you pray. The more passionate your prayer, the more likely it will come true.
Children are especially prone to bad environment. They are helpless because they have not developed the experience to negate bad energy.

It is up to the parent to protect the child from bad energy. If you see two people arguing, have the child look the other way. Don't let your child view "R" rated movies, or even "G" rated movies that promote violence in a fun way...as if there is a fun way.
When things go wrong, think of people who inspire you. Perhaps it's an Indian Guru, or maybe Jesus. It may even be Donald Trump. Some people opt to pray or chant "Om."

However you do it, remember that strength comes from the inner environment rather than the exte
al environment.
