You are blessed with the ability to awake each morning and set about your business for the day. Not only are you possessed with the honor of carrying out your passions for life and doing what makes you happy; you are also given twenty-four hours in each day to get your jobs accomplished.
Keeping fit is no different than brushing your teeth. Creating the habits that support your goals is exactly what we are trying to achieve. Day after day, week after week it is our partnership that thrives and cultivates a lifestyle that is in alignment with your health and wellness goals. These routines and patterns that we are farming require that we follow through each day to foster their development and create a blueprint for our future. Is it easy? No. Does it require constant effort? Yes.
So what can you do to encourage consistency in your exercise program? Let’s take the time to review some common, everyday steps that you can follow through with to increase the likelihood that you will participate in regular exercise in your continued future.
~Find a workout buddy who is willing to walk-the-walk with you and help each other along. ~Set out your exercise clothes the night before; sleep in them if it helps you to follow through. ~Don’t look back at past behavior. This is a new opportunity, a new beginning, embrace it. ~Fuel your body with healthy choices to enable you to perform to the best of your ability. ~Find something you enjoy doing and smile. It is imperative that you have fun while moving. ~Look good. If you enjoy dressing for movement, chances are you’ll follow through. ~journal your daily movement. Leave no step untold. ~Hang an inspiring outfit in your dressing area to encourage daily participation in movement. ~Be proud of yourself for trying and reward your positive behaviors with pleasurable incentives.
It’s up to you. What’s your flavor, succulent consistency, juicy reliability or luscious, unfailing regularity? You can make the changes in your life to reach your dreams. You can do what it takes, dismiss the excuses and work toward the goals you have been envisioning. Believe in your ability to make the right choices, hold yourself to a higher standard of resilience and make the right choices that are the only sensible alte
atives for reaching your aspirations.
