Femodette is a popular combined contraceptive pill among women who want to prevent unplanned pregnancy. It has been proven to be nearly 100% effective in protecting you from getting pregnant. It consists of ethinylestradiol (artificial oestrogen) and gestodene (artificial progesterone) as its active ingredient. Gestodene is the only ‘third generation’ synthetic progestogen hormone used in a contraceptive pill. The ‘third generation’ pills are considered to be a much better and safer version than second generation pills. This medication is widely prescribed because apart from contraception, it can also help in treating acne, polycystic ovary syndrome, hirsutism (growth of excess hair) and can also regulate periods. It aids in making your period lighter and less painful.

This contraceptive pill works in three ways to prevent pregnancy. First, the synthetic oestrogen present in the pill tricks the body into believing that ovulation has occurred so that no egg is released from the ovaries. Second, the synthetic progestogen thickens the cervical mucus due to which sperm is unable to enter the womb. Finally, both these hormones also alter the womb lining, making it impossible for an egg to attach itself and grow in the womb lining. Any woman who is above the age of 18 can purchase this medication and prevent pregnancy along with getting rid of heavy and painful periods.

Femodette pills should be taken for 21 days of your menstrual cycle, followed by a break of seven days. You will experience a withdrawal bleed in this period of seven days. It will not be your regular period, but your body’s natural way of getting rid of the synthetic hormones. It is usually recommended that you start taking the pill from the first day of your period so that you get immediate protection. However, if you are unable to do so, you can also start taking this pill from the fifth day of your period. In that case, you will have to use an extra barrier contraceptive like a condom for the next seven days. If in any case you forget to take a pill, then take the pill as soon as you remember and consult your doctor.

This medication is safe for almost every woman who is above 18 years of age. However, you should avoid this pill if you have a history of health complications such as chronic heart disease, depression, migraines, high blood pressure, diabetes and jaundice. Just like other prescription medications, Femodette can cause some mild side effects such as headache, nausea, weight gain, fluid retention, mood swings, depression, decreased libido and vaginal thrush. If any of these side effects persists even after discontinuing the pill, seek medical attention immediately.

If you forget to take one or two pills during the treatment, you would still be protected from pregnancy. However, if you forget to take three or more pills then you will no longer be protected from pregnancy. In that situation, you should use another form of contraception and consult your doctor. You can buy Femodette online from any of the registered online clinics after completing a free and confidential online consultation with certified doctor.

It hit me while I was having an inspiring conversation this week with a woman wanting to get a job selling mops like I do. After seeing my numbers and opening the door to possibility that she could also make 900$ a day selling mops, noticing her eyes glisten and sparkle as she soaked up every morsel of information I gave her as if it were the most important thing in the world, I felt inspiring. Then I realized that my 900$ a day earnings (although above average to many) could also be seen as a fart in a windstorm compared to someone who say makes 9000$ a day, or even 900$ an hour.
