If exercise is not fun and you dread it, fear it or run from it none of the options are going to help you work toward your health and wellness goals. Period! Have fun with it.

Goodness gracious; the list of selections is endless and your choices are nonstop. Think back to when you were younger, I mean a child, when playing was your job and you performed it to the best of your ability. You adored every minute of your freedom, your time in the sun and took it upon yourself to surround yourself with friends and activities that kept you busy and smiling at the same time. Now is no different, the stakes are no less. How you go about choosing your activity and the mode in which you travel is just as imperative as it was when you were a child.

Why not try these solution-finding suggestions and see how they work on your fitness avenues:

  • Make a list of all the movement-induced activities that you enjoy.
  • Leave nothing you enjoy off the list no matter how crazy it may seem.
  • Cross any options off the list that cannot come to fruition in your home location. Tuck them away for a later date when the environment is conducive to their enjoyment.
  • Star your top three choices.
  • For each choice figure out what, who, why when, where.
  • Find a sitter, arrange your schedule and make it happen within one week.

It always helps while playing the part to look the part:

  • Take pride in your workout attire.
  • Discard weathered workout apparel.
  • Invest in a new outfit. Target has wonderful options at a low price.
  • Try to find a friend to come along for the adventure. Workout buddies are inspiring.

Enjoying what you are doing is imperative in regard to whether or not you will stick with your plan of movement. With so many options to choose from don’t settle for anything other than what you enjoy.
