We’d all like to have romance in our lives and Feng Shui has a lot to say about it. Several steps can be taken to turn our bedrooms from places that symbolize stress and cold energy to ones that invite love and romance.
1. Ask yourself, what is the purpose of my Bedroom? This may seem like a strange question to be asking in your bedroom, but take a look around. Are you using it solely for sleeping and relaxing, or has it taken on the characteristics of some other activity – as an office, exercise room, library or playroom? Rest and relaxation come first here
2. Place your bed in Feng Shui’s Command Position, the spot in your bedroom where you feel most in control. When you’re easily able to see the door, your defensive instincts will naturally relax, helping you to sleep through the night
3. Be aware of the symbolism of artwork and photos. A bedroom needs particularly soothing and uplifting art and other images, so surround yourself with things that make you feel great. To attract or stabilize a romantic relationship, make sure the art and decor in your bedroom says, “couples” — not “singles.”
4. Add colors like reds and purples that bring the element of Fire, which is the element of emotions and physical connection. Set up good lighting using a dimmer and avoid overhead lighting altogether. Make sure, if you’re sharing this space with a partner, that each of you has personally significant items to enjoy here.
5. Clear bookshelves of work-related books and other types of clutter. Best would be to move the shelves out of the room altogether or use them for things you truly love and use.
Following these tips can drastically improve not only your sleep but your love life as well.
