Fortitude; such a prominent word as you travel down your path of new twists and turns in your everyday life; as you converge on the road to greater well-being, a healthier way of living and possibly a lighter you. Equipping yourself with the staying power is a challenge there’s no doubt about that. Am I singing to the choir or what?

As the days and weeks begin to pass, so does our tolerance and persistence to stick with our new habits and what once was a walk in the park on a sunny day begins to grunt the words of complacency and intolerance. These feelings are totally normal when trying to walk the straight and narrow in your attempts at bettering your life and will come and go as do our days and weeks. Sticking with your new found plan takes endurance to hold your ground, it entails stamina and continued effort, but most of all it requires that you have the grand ole wherewithal named patience. Therefore, as patience is a virtue, isn’t it fitting that such a strong, powerful, beautiful woman such as you be driven by its resilience? Being patient takes practice in all areas of your life. Why not apply these tolerant exercises to your daily on goings and learn to view all your accomplishments as fabulous triumphs.

~Give yourself credit when you make a healthy choice in your day. ~Acknowledge your accomplishments. ~Allow yourself to succeed and be proud of your achievements. ~Document your achievements, so that you may review your fantastic feats. ~Give yourself a round of applause for being calm and collected. ~Shake hands with each feat and put your best foot forward.

Remembering to take this fresh approach to inhabiting your life requires that you make the effort, give it due diligence and put forth your best shot one day at a time. Life is not a race, your health and fitness goals will not come to fruition ove
ight, over weeks or even over months and years. Your new way of living is for the rest of your life to make it real, to continue to reap the benefits and be the best woman you can be. Find the courage on the job at hand and live your greatest life!
