Four Practical Inspirations

You can inspire your daily life by following four practical inspirations. They are based on psychological truths and will build a foundation of emotional stength. It is easier to stand tall and respond to life's surprises when you take personal responsibility to actively plan an emotional stategy for your emotional, spiritual and intellectual powers.

The four practical inspirations are: relationships, nature, skills and acceptance.

When I began my career as a psychoanalyst and author I had the romantic notion that in order to be effective I would have to be inspired. I quickly learned that this feeling of expansion and the wonderment of possibilities does not float in the air. I realized it was my responsibility to make successes for my career, loving connections, play and spirituality. Your list will include your individual needs and desires but, by following the four inspirations, you will feel invigorated in your endeavors.

Inspirational feelings connect us to a great human experience of energy surrouded by excitement and expanded awareness. You can fuel your energies for productive living and feelings of satisfaction.

RELATIONSHIPS

Relationships to others need not be perfect. All partnerships have stunning challenges surrounding them. Examine your major emotional, physical and spiritual relationships and choose a different one each day to inspire your journey throughout the day. Celebrate these relationships through kindness, open thankfulness and generosity. Do so with an open heart, without expecting a return or keeping a ledger of your good deeds. Karma's song plays its music even if people do not think they hear the notes.

NATURE

Take a look at our planet hanging in the Universe. It is a miracle. The power, beauty and balance is inspiring on a huge or tiny siting. It is all amazing if your take the time to look around you. A dandelion is as complicated and magical asnthe world itself.

SKILLS

We begin leaning skills from the moment of birth. Make a list of each skill you have acquired in your lifetime. Include every small acomplishment which helps you function. Think grateful thoughts when you wake in the morning (brushing your teeth is a good time!) Bless the honor of being a precious human being.

ACCEPTANCE

The practical abilitiy to look to life realistically is a great gift you can bestow upon yourself. Do not waste energies wishing, hoping, and hating reality. Since, like worry and nagging, we cannot change reality. To give up the need to control events (except pratical responsibilities) and others, we must learn to accept 'what is' and deal with it. The energy you divert to inspirational thinking will be emotional money in the bank.
