GAIA VS REIKI
What is the difference?

When I am asked “What is Gaia Healing?” I often say, “Have you heard of Reiki? It’s similar to Reiki.” As Gaia Healing is not quite as well known as Reiki, I would like to take this opportunity to explain more about Gaia Healing and the difference betwee
Gaia Healing and Reiki.

Gaia Healing was founded by a woman named Shimara Kumara, a former Reiki Master. Shimara is gifted with many psychic abilites, she is clairvoyant and in direct communication with her spirit guides. The term clairvoyance (from 17th century French with clair meaning "clear" and voyance meaning "vision") is used to refer to the ability to gain information about an object, person, location or physical event through means other than the known human senses. It is a form of extra-sensory perception. Spirit guides are entities that remain a disinca
ate spirit in order to act as a guide or protector to a living inca
ated human being.

After working with the Reiki energy for some time, Shimara was ‘told’ by her guides that the earth was ready for a new vibration, a stronger energy to help with the healing of humanity and planet Earth.

With the help of her guides, Shimara brought through this new energy and created a healing system for others to use. She was first guided to call this energy ‘New Golden Age Reiki’. Then after some time, she was guided to call it ‘Gaia Healing’.

Gaia is the Earth Element Healing Ray and is the foundation level for the complete system called the Ete
al Light Healing system, which comprises of 16 different rays, or healing energies. For simplicity sake, I call this healing system Gaia Healing.
The Gaia Healing Ray and Reiki are of a similar vibration, a similar energy. The main difference is that the Gaia Healing Ray is a stronger vibration, a stronger energy. When you combine the Gaia Healing Ray with the rest of the Ete
al Light Healing rays, you then have an even more powerful healing experience.

I have had many clients who are Reiki Masters, Reiki Healers, or who have received Reiki and every single one of them have said that they notice a significant difference in the energies. They describe Gaia Healing as “stronger”, “a deeper experience”, “a more powerful experience”.

Gaia Healing and Reiki are both wonderful energies with beneficial effects. My personal experience and the feedback that I have received suggest that with Gaia Healing the energy is able to work on a deeper level therefore creating faster and more effective results.

You can receive Gaia Healing as a client for many different physical or emotional issues, or you can learn how to give healing to yourself, friends or family. You can even qualify to become a professional healer.
When I receive enquiries about Gaia Healing and the Gaia Healing Workshops, I always tell people to follow their hearts, to follow their intuition about which healing system they wish to work with. I also think it’s important to feel comfortable with the healer that you are going to work with. The safer you feel, the more you will be able to relax and let go, which will deepen the healing process.

I am a fully qualified Gaia healer and have completed the Ete
al Light Healing system with Shimara Kumara. I am also a certified Gaia Master, which enables me to teach the Gaia Foundation course and the Gaia Advanced course.
