I hate winter. The frigid temperatures and massive amounts of snow is more than enough, but add to that the damage to the roads. The pot holes get so big and numerous that you can do some serious damage to a vehicle. So why not move to a warmer climate? For several reasons; however, the major reason is also the focus of this article. Are we allowing God to order our steps or going off in our own direction?
I recently purchased a GPS, and to test its accuracy; I decided to not follow the instructions. Fortunately, I was very familiar with the route, but I wanted to see how the GPS responds when I did my own thing. Immediately, the instructions tried to get me back on course by a series left turns; however, for my experiment, I ignored those instructions too. After a few minutes, the GPS announced that it was “reconfiguring my route”, and subsequently provided an alte
ate travel route for the directio
I was headed.
Although I continued driving, my mind immediately went to the many routes we can take to reach our destination. So why is it important to allow God to direct our path, when in fact, we still end up at our destination? The answer is simple; because God’s GPS stands for God’s Paved Streets. Following God’s path to our destination makes for a smoother trip with fewer bumps and potholes.
Like my GPS gadget, God knows the best route because He has already gone before us and prepared the way. However, unlike my GPS, God does not reconfigure his plans because we go in different directions. As obedient children, U TURN and get back on the path God ordered for you. While following Gods Paved Streets, we will still encounter:
- Accidents : Romans 5:6 (Missing the mark)
- Road construction: Phil 1:6 (He has begun a good work in us is faithful to perform it)
- Inclement weather: Romans 8:18 (For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us)
BUT YOU ARE GUARANTEED A SAFE ARRIVAL!!!
Remember, the road also has fatalities. Can you guarantee your safe arrival following your directions? I cannot; so I endure the rough winters until he provides further instructions.

Hinting is not clear communication
Unfortunately, I hear it often from clients and random conversations with friends and other people that they want to consider a person to be clueless or even stupid because that person did not understand them hinting about an issue. Many people do hint and actually think that people that they are hinting to should be a
