Green tea has been the drink to reach for to achieve overall natural health benefits like lowering cholesterol and losing weight. Now, it’s an ingredient that can be found in anti-aging or even acne topical treatments for more luminous and healthy skin.
It’s hard to believe that green tea, discovered in China thousands of years ago, plays such an important role in health even today.

The antioxidant properties in green tea are powerful and topical creams and serums have been used to treat:

  • Acne
  • Mature Skin
  • Skin irritatio

For those with acne, green tea has strong antibacterial ingredients which fight breakouts. Its natural, anti-inflammatory recipe help with the swelling acne can bring as well as minimizing the redness.

Research has also shown that its ingredients may help with hormonal levels which take part in acne flare-ups.

Like other great antioxidants, green tea is no exception when it comes to combating free radicals which age and irritate the skin. Green tea can also help with dry, scaly, and rough skin patches. Some have even used it to soothe Rosacea.

Just like healing acne, green tea has been proven to play a part in an anti-aging skincare routine. A great antioxidant, it wards off free radicals like sun damage and pollution. Above all, it promotes collagen which means younger looking skin.

Many who have used a topical green tea extract believe their skin has been restored.

As briefly mentioned earlier, all these positives have to do with the antioxidant in green tea named, EGCG. This antioxidant has often been referred to as a “cell rejuvenator” which shields and heals the skin.

Users of topical green teas have reported the following benefits:

  • Firmer and softer skin
  • Hyper-pigmentation and age spots improvement
  • Less lines and wrinkles
  • Reduced pore size
  • Skin hydratio

More powerful tha
Vitamin C and E, EGCG heals the skin of present damage while protecting it against future injury.

Some manufactures have coupled green tea with caffeine. Realizing that caffeine is a strong antioxidant, scientists believed the combination of the two would work great together. And it has. When caffeine is joined up with green tea, it boosts the green tea properties making the results much more dramatic.

When it comes to choosing between a green tea cream or serum there is a general rule of thumb. Cream tends to offer more hydrating properties for mature skin, while serum is a good choice for oily skin which needs hydration, too. Both types, offer powerful antioxidant benefits while tailoring particular skincare goals.

It hit me while I was having an inspiring conversation this week with a woman wanting to get a job selling mops like I do. After seeing my numbers and opening the door to possibility that she could also make 900$ a day selling mops, noticing her eyes glisten and sparkle as she soaked up every morsel of information I gave her as if it were the most important thing in the world, I felt inspiring. Then I realized that my 900$ a day earnings (although above average to many) could also be seen as a fart in a windstorm compared to someone who say makes 9000$ a day, or even 900$ an hour.
