Due to the cut-throat competition in the present world, every student either from a city background or a rural area should be proficient in all the segments of communication skills. Comparing to the students of city culture, the village background students are generally lagging behind in communication skills due to various reasons. Unless and until their communication skills are not up to the expected level of the MNC’s, they will not be offered good or decent jobs even if they have got required qualifications. So, a rural background student should work hard with a systematic plan and commitment to improve his/her communication skills to compete with the students of or from big cities.
Important Guidelines
A rural area student will be surely benefited by following below mentioned points sincerely:
1.First and foremost, a student of rural area should remember in his/her mind that learning and improving English Communication Skills is not really difficult task.
2.He/she must keep away his negative thoughts such as – fear of being judged, making mistakes, sensitiveness and shyness in order to become a good speaker of English language from day one.
3.He/she should never lose faith or confidence in himself/herself despite facing many hurdles or barriers in his journey of learning English.
4.He/she should join a communication skills centre or should study under the supervision of a good communicator of English language.
5.He/she must buy and study Spoken English books that are published in English and in his mother tongue. By standing these sort of books a rural area student can easily grasp the rules and can converse in English within a short span of time.
6.He/she should try to speak in English with somebody for some time every day by getting rid of fear and hesitation.
7.He/she should learn Verb forms, Tenses in English and how to put questions. By learning these three concepts one can speak English comfortably in the initial stages.
8.He/she should develop friendship with the people who are good at speaking & writing English language and spend some of your time with them daily. Listen to them attentively.
9.He/she should think constantly about his development in English language. He/she must keep on trying to translate the sentences from his/her mother tongue to English language. This exercise will help a rural background student in improving his/her English gradually.
10.He/she must go through the newspapers of English language which uses simple and easy language. Watching YouTube videos in the internet will also be a beneficial one.
