THE GREATEST INVENTION
When we think about the top 100 inventions, the monetary system is likely to be on the list. Economic systems based on currency circulation facilitate the development of human society. Whatever we personally think of this medium of exchange, can it of itself generate happiness? The answer is in the word medium. It is an enabler but is not necessarily a direct source of happiness.

TREASURE HOUSE
For some money may be a source of happiness. They like to look at all the 0s in their bank accounts. People have told me that when they look at this sum they feel happy. Representing the fruits of successful activity, they have achieved something and tasted the success of weath creation. When they look they derive a sense of satisfaction, which is one of the definitions of happiness. Happiness is a feeling, a state of being, it is an experience, it is an enjoyment. Happiness is experiencing pleasure or joy, it is being satisfied and being content. In other words, feeling good and a sense of something, such as a sense of satisfaction. Just as things can be a source of happiness, so can money. But as it is a source, it can also be a source of unhappiness.

OUR ATTITUDE IS ALL
The nature of money is that it is a thing, a source, a facilitator. Thus whether it gives happiness depends on our attitude, how we use it and what we use it for. If we have sufficient money, we can buy good things that enrich our lives such as the finest food
and comfortable accommodation.

RESOURCE RICH
Money is a resource, to be used when we need it for healthcare and other necessary expenses. It is doubtful that you can buy total happiness but it certainly helps to make our life easier, which in turn can make us happier.

POTS OF GOLD CHALLENGE
Great amounts of money come with strings such as the challenges of money management and investment decisions. It may also have the effect of causing us to be less trusting and to question whether the people around are true friends or do they just want to be friends because I have loads of lucre? Yet again this is another example that attitude is the crucial factor.

CASH IS KING
While cash can make life more palatable, there is no doubt but there are numerous sad millionaires and billionaires. If we understand that everything is a source including money, then money can buy things that can give us happiness. Success and money do not automatically give us happiness. The jounery to wealth may or may not give happiness and our spending and saving may or may not give us happiness.
