If you're a father of a toddler or a teenager, it is important that you take the responsibility of your child and raise them in an effective way. You must fulfill your commitment to be a responsible, loving and caring dad of your child. Here are eight secrets to build the father-child
relationship stronger:
The First Secret: Know your child
The fathers should know their child well. You should know about your child's personality traits and behavior. Once you know the strengths and weaknesses of the child, you can raise them in a good manner. When you become aware of the child's behavior, you can find ways to eliminate the bad behavior and habits of the child.
The Second Secret: Spend some time with your child
As the fathers spend most of the time working, the children get to spend more time with the children than the fathers do. Studies have shown that mothers spend more time with their children while fathers get lesser time to be with their kids. Fathers should spend some time with their kids so that the child feels loved and cared by fathers too. Having dinners together, being together on Sundays and holidays can strengthen the child-father relationships.
The Third Secret: Do some activities together
The fathers should include the children in some household chores or make the children do their homeworks. If you get a chance to work with your child, don't miss it.
The Fourth Secret: Have a loving relationship with your wife
Having a great relationship with your wife can bring harmony to your family life. If the children sees you both fighting, they would learn the same. The kids watch their parents closely. If you have a good relationship with your wife, the children would learn you build close and loving relationships.
The Fifth Secret: Listen to what the kid has to say
Fathers should sit with their child and listen to what he has to say. Let the child speak. Many children complain that the parents don't have time to listen to them. The child should have someone in the house who listens to them.
The Sixth Secret: Control your anger
It can be difficult for the fathers to manage their children. Most of the dads lose their temper while dealing with the child. Being a father, you need to be patient and control your anger. Stay calm and control your anger.
The Seventh Secret: Have a good relationship with your dad
It is very important that your relationship with your own father is good and loving. Examine your relationship with your father because the child is likely to learn what he sees. If you have a great relationship with your father, it can have a good impact on your child.
The Eight Secret: Know what's going on in your child's life
The parents, especially fathers, should know what's going on in their child's life. Know what the child does in his daily life, who his friends are and also try to solve the problems the child has.
