This is just one small, but impactful, excerpt from my own eBook:
How to Get Anything You Want Out of Life…And, More!
Even if you never purchase the eBook, read this section again and again. Read in its entirety. You really can achieve your goals. You really can accomplish more than you thought was possible.
Don’t just read this post, take action!
A story a bit more public than mine is that of Mr. October. Reggie Jackson, for baseball fans, is known as Mr. October for hitting home runs when they counted most (during the playoffs and World Series).
Jackson played 21 seasons and reached the post-season in 11 of them, winning six pennants and five World Series. His accomplishments include winning both the regular-season and World Series MVP awards in 1973, hitting 563 career home runs (sixth all-time at the time of his retirement). He was named to 14 All-Star teams. He was the first to hit one hundred home runs for 3 different teams. He also had a candy bar named after him.
Oh, one other thing about Reggie before we get off the subject. He happened to strike out a lot. Well, more than a lot. In fact he struck out 2,597 times. That is more than any other player ever in the history of baseball.
So what was he focused on every time at bat?
The next strike out?
Or, the next home run?
Why am I including this here instead of in some positive thinking area of the eBook (you better look hard)? Easy.
His home runs did not all come when he was feeling terrific. His strike outs did not all come when he was feeling bad. He was able to focus and strategize regardless of how he felt. It mattered not if he was angry, or sad, or happy. He hit home runs in spite of these feelings. Not because of them.
Receive that.
It matters not how you feel. It doesn’t.
If you wait until everything is ‘just right’,
it never will be.
You will make the time ‘just right’ by your actions.
There are so many examples of this. Read the above names and brief story lines again. Let them permeate your inner being.
It doesn’t matter how you feel.
You need to press on in spite of your feelings.
Fake it until you make it.
In other words, if you need to cry, that’s fine. But, keep working. Keep going after those goals. If you need to yell. Fine. If you need to laugh your head off. Fine. Just don’t let these things impact your action taking. Keep pressing on in spite of them, just like so many before you.
If you do this, you will succeed.
“But one thing I do:
Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
I press on toward the goal to win the prize…”
~ Paul
End excerpt.
Friend, reasons and excuses have always been around.
So have successful people.
You do realize that you are one intentional moment and action away, don’t you?
That pushing through right now will make the difference for the rest of your life?
It will.
Make the choice.
Make the choice to Live it LOUD!
