The Gospel of Jesus Christ started out as a small spark in the Galilean hillsides nearly two thousand years ago, but rapidly blazed across all geographical barriers to become the world's most well-known Good News in the history of humanity. A brief overview of how the Gospel spread will not only empower us to be a part of its spread but will help us see that the Gospel is propelled by divine power.
Self awareness is truly the cornerstone of emotional intelligence. It underlies all the other aspects of self motivation and emotional intelligence. Self awareness is about knowing one’s own emotions. It's about understanding your thinking patterns and knowing what thinking pattern you ...
In todayâs fast pace lifestyle, many women are often caught up in what is appropriately called the âSuperwoman Syndrome.â These women are constantly striving to accomplish everything possible in a perfect manner and have not learned how to put themselves as a top priority. Most often, they do not have the time or energy to devote to themselves. Even when having the time, they may consider themselves selfish to indulge in self-pampering or to simply provide themselves qu
“All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naïve. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself.” -- Ralph Ellison
Here's a riddle for you: throughout the history of humankind, people have been able to tame wolves, chimpanzees, tigers, lions, dolphins, killer whales, seals, and cobras. But there is one thing--one very small thing--each of us have that we have not been able to tame. Do you know what it is? If you guess, "the tongue," you are absolutely correct. How many times have you regretted saying something the instant you said it? How many times have your words hurt a friend or a family member without you meaning to?
When you wake up each morning to the sweet melodies of birds, how do you feel? When you admire the spectacular spectrum of sunsets, are you awed? When sunlight warms your skin and gentle summer breezes softly kiss you, are you not delighted? Do you not enjoy the fragrance of wildflowers, the sound of ocean waves splashing, the chirps of crickets at night, and the claps of thunders during a heavy storm?

I have told people thousands of times that they have just got to ask for what they want. And I find that most people only have one problem with this directive: They do not know what they want! And I find that most people only have one problem with this directive: They do not know what they want! You Cannot Ask for What You Want Unless You Know What It Is!
How do you feel when you picture your loved ones in your mind? Does thinking about your good friends and family bring a smile upon your face? Now, picture in your mind those you really don't like. How do you feel when you think about your "enemies"? Do you feel angry, sad, hurt, frustrated, annoyed, or confused? While many of us don't have real enemies, we do have people who we dislike greatly for whatever reason.
What is salvation? Why did Jesus Christ have to die in order to save us? And from what are we actually saved?
Why do people have to suffer? Do some people simply have bad luck or is there a good reason why we suffer? Why do we all get sick, grow old, and die? And is all suffering really bad, or is it actually a blessing in disguise, somehow? Here, I will outline some of the reasons why we suffer: • Suffering strengthens and prepares us. The trials and tribulations we face daily, some more often and severe than others, are exercise machines for our spirits.

All the major accomplishments I've achieved in my twenty-five years swam through my head at lightning speed. Which is my proudest achievement? I could tell her that I was most proud of mastering grade level after only about 180 days of school attendance.
Have you ever wondered where evil came from? Did Jehovah God Almighty create evil? No, of course not; Jehovah did not create evil itself; evil results only when His principles are not followed. Evil is simply the absence of goodness, just as darkness is the absence of light. Long before Jehovah created Earth and humankind, He created spirit beings known as angels who lived with Him in the spiritual realm where He calls home. He gave angels the freedom to make their own decisions, the same kind of free will He has given to us.
When was the last time you took time out of your busy schedule to write your spouse a letter? Not just a list of to-dos or a grocery list, but a love letter saying how much you appreciate them and value having them in your life. We get caught up in everyday life, that we allow our marriages to miss the little things that can sometimes over shadow the very things we think are major problems.
To lose your partner is always painful. It is a heartache, any way you look at it. It hurts. Your body aches and your broken heart feels like it is going to explode. You are face to face with the most important relationship decision in your life.
Are you a gardener? If you are, you know that growing colorful flowers and crunchy veggies require your love, care, time, and effort. You need to work the soil to make it just right for the seeds, water them regularly, and patiently wait for nature to do its work. When I was around eleven, I planted a couple of marigold seeds in a flower pot that was small enough to be placed in front of me on my table next to my bed. I watered it regularly and kept a journal, recording down the date I sew the seeds, and listing its growth progress.
Jesus said, "the Father is in me, and I in the Father." (John 10:38, WEB.) What did he mean by that? Does that mean that God and Jesus are one and the same? We can understand what Jesus meant by reading what Jesus said to his disciples next: "In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you." (John 14:20)
Prayer is communication with Jehovah God Almighty; it is a two-way conversation. So when you pray to your Father in heaven, He will answer you according to His will. However, there are hindrances to prayers--things and behaviors that will prevent an answered prayer. Here, let us briefly go over some of these hindrances, so we can learn to eliminate them in our lives in order for our prayers to be answered next time. Disbelief "But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like the surge of the sea driven by the wind and tossed.

Question: Why didn't God prevent Adam and Eve from eating the forbidden fruit? Answer: I will have to answer this question in assumption, something I rarely do, because we often waste precious time when we speculate about things we don't know. To know every "why" and "how" would make us God.
Teaching his disciples how to pray to God, God's beloved Son, Jesus Christ, began the model prayer with, "Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name." (Matthew 6:9, American Standard Version) When we pray "Hallowed be thy name," we are seeking sanctification and glory for God's name. Putting this at the start of his model prayer, Jesus indicated that our first priority in life should be glorifying God's name. But in order to glorify God's name, we first need to know what it is. The Old Testament (Hebrew Scriptures) tells us God's personal name nearly seven thousand times.
Once upon a time, Jehovah God Almighty created a paradise garden on the newly formed Earth, which became the home of Adam and Eve, the first two people who ever lived. God told them to be fruitful and multiply and be the masters over the Earth and all the living creatures of the skies, lands, and oceans. His purpose for His new creations was to fill the paradise with happy people who would walk in fellowship with their Heavenly Father. Adam and Eve had everything they could possibly ever dream of, all without labor, pain, or fear, for Jehovah supplied all abundantly.
âNothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan âpress onâ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.â --Wolfgang von Goethe Persistence is the spiritual grace that allows you to con
Many of us go through life not really having a plan. I have been guilty of this as well. What is your plan for your life? What is your plan for your family? What is your plan to achieve your goal? The first two questions are for you to really ponder and think about. The plan for your goal, it starts right now. Questions to consider when developing your plan to achieve your goal: What training will I need if any? Who will need to assist me? What resources will I need? What roadblocks are associated with my goal? How will I get through them?
Do you believe in yourself? Are you shaky about your capabilities? Do you constantly rely on affirmation from others about what you can or cannot do? Sometimes people will ignite your passion for achievement by believing, championing and supporting you. But then a time comes in the journey of ...
Imagine your best friend has just invited you to his wedding, and told you to invite everyone you know to the special event. Those who hear of the event will be the ones who are lucky enough to attend it. If you do not share this good news, you will be guilty of not obeying the order. So it is up to you to tell your friends, family, co-workers about the mandate. You may even need to travel out of your town or province to spread the word. The fate of your friends--whether they will be privileged enough to attend the wedding--lies in your hands. What would you do?
I often say, "Everything passes, and so will your current negative situation. When you are angry or upset, keep in mind that it will pass, so why waste your energy on something that will be gone tomorrow?" Now you may think, "Wait a minute, does every negative situation really pass? Did your blindness pass?" If that was your line of thoughts, you are not alone--I've had some people bring up similar points. Certainly, my blindness has not passed, nor have my physical disabilities.
Are you able to feel at peace even when life bombards you with hardship? If not, how can you achieve peace when life gets tough? In January, Tammy Brackett, a music publicist/writer, experienced the financial pain that many Americans are going through now. "My income was reduced by 2/3 because of a job layoff," says Tammy. Yet, she was able to feel at peace. When Donna Ratner, a certified holistic health counselor, was 14, her 22-year-old brother died suddenly in a swimming pool accident. When she was 23, living in New York City, she got held up at gunpoint.
On November 5 when the Alabama-Crimson Tide played the LSU-Tigers, Alabama had many missed opportunities; they missed four field goals. These missed field goals proved critical since LSU ultimately won by three points. Losing by such a narrow margin made the pain of missing the field goals hurt even more. We have all experienced missed opportunities. However, it is important to keep playing the game. When you fumble or make a mistake, you have to think like a football player
Understand that past experiences can pave a path into your purpose when you are willing to learn from the mistakes and then let them go. When you harbor anger, bitte ess and embarrassment from the ills of your past, you stay stuck in a place that blocks any growth potential. You stay rooted in the past, letting the present pass you by. Don't stay stuck in the past. You lose focus when you live in the past, when you hold onto the baggage of all the failures you've made in your life.

How do we get saved? What are required for us to receive salvation? Since salvation is a gift from Jehovah God Almighty through His Son, Jesus Christ, accepting this gift is easy, not tricky at all. We are saved the moment we 1) repent of anything bad we've ever done and 2) accept Jesus as Savior. Accepting Jesus as Savior means that we have accepted his teachings and diligently applied them to our lives. Simply believing in Jesus does not give us salvation.
Do you believe in Jehovah God Almighty? If you answered "Yes," your answer would match about half of the human population, because Christians, Muslims, and Jews, all believe in the same God, Jehovah (though Muslims use the name Allah for God). While I do not doubt the depth or strength of their belief, I do have to wonder: if so many people believe in God, why do we experience so many man made problems in life? If we believe in God, that means that we should know His principles for living in a good way, so we ought to be able to live well, right?
Question #1: Yahweh (Jehovah) God Almighty operates on this principle in His justice system: "You must take life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burning for burning, wound for wound, and bruise for bruise." (Exodus 21:23-25). What does this principle mean?
When we admire a beautiful painting, we know a gifted painter is behind the masterpiece. When we drive by a brick house, we know skilled builders must have built it. And when we talk on the phone, we are grateful for its invention. But when we see a blossoming rose, a rainbow after refreshing spring showers, and eagles soaring amidst blue skies, why do many of us deny a Creator of such magnificence? Do these wonders not far surpass the inventions we mere humans have created?

Throughout my career in the military I have come across a variety of tall tales about eating and exercise. The extent of misinformation is so great that you’d think we were dealing with Cold War propaganda. If a lie is told frequently enough it is treated as the truth. Seven Myths about Eating and Weight Loss Eating Myth #1: Eating fat is bad for you. The Truth: Eat fat, Soldier! It’s good for you. Just don’t eat too much, and stay away from bad fat. All unrepentant wicked people will be cast into hell, where the fire will burn for eternity. But what does "eternal" fire of hell mean? What does the Bible say? Let us study what the Bible says below about the condition we know as "hell:" 1) Jesus said, "…fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28, American Standard Version) Here, we see two things: a) *Both* body and soul will go to hell, contrary to the popular belief that only the soul will go to hellrnb) That the soul will be *destroyed* in hell, not being burned for eternity.
Top Five Basic Stretches to Promote Flexibility There are many views about stretching and its benefits. If done properly, stretching can be a relaxing and stress relieving experience. Some say that we should stretch before exercising. Others say we should stretch after exercising and still others emphasize stretching before and after. There is no substantial evidence about the benefits of stretching as it pertains to exercise or that it helps prevent injury.
Do you desire to know the truth? How valuable do you believe the truth is? Nowadays, people believe there is no absolute truths--it's just a matter of personal choices. When we believe that everything can be true, then it means that we should agree that stealing and murder are okay because that may be true to some people.
Greg Gregory shares his personal story about how he lost over 60 pounds. He is 42 years old and did not really begin his exercise and weight-loss journey until the age of 39. Fifteen years of gradual weight gain took him from his high school weight of 190 pounds all the way up to 262. He is self-employed, travels a lot and has a predominantly sedentary job. At 6’ 4”, his present weight is 202 pounds. Greg gradually lost 60 pounds over the three years of regular exercise and making eating adjustments along the way. He went from a pant size of 44 to his present size 33.
The very first two humans were made in the image of God. But what does that really mean? Made in the "image of God" simply means that people are spiritually like Jehovah God Almighty to some extent. He has given humans some of the spiritual aspects He has: the ability to think and reason, an innate knowledge of right and wrong, a conscience, a full spectrum of emotions, and the need for spiritual things in order to be truly happy.
We often focus on the question: "Do you believe in God?" Yet we seldom go on to the crucial question: "Why is it important to KNOW God?" Why do we desire or need to identify that there is a Creator? Why is it important to know Him? We have the longing and the duty to know the one and only true God Almighty, whose personal name is Jehovah (Yahweh), in order to achieve complete and absolute fulfillment. Knowing that we have a Creator satisfies our curiosity about our origins. It answers the most important questions we have about life: From where have we come? What is our purpose?
Do you feel fulfilled? If you have spent time trying to find fulfillment in material possessions, in traveling and sightseeing, in good food and fine clothing, in fame and power, have you been able to find what you're looking for? If not, do you know why not?
A few nights ago I dropped by a local restaurant to pick up some dinner to take home. While I waited patiently in the lobby for my food to finish being prepared, I noticed a sign on the wall. It said, When I work I work hard When I sit I sit loose When I think I fall asleep I read it again…and again. Then asked myself, What on earth does that mean? This proverb may be familiar to some of you, but it was unknown to me prior to reading it. Below is the lesso I got from the
Frustrated by traffic jams, over-crowded malls, having only 24 hours in a day? Do you complain about your boss, your partner, your kids and a lack of anything really meaningful in your life? War-Game Your Health War-gaming is a technique used to visualize the battlefield before going to battle. Several courses of action are then developed and played through to the end to assess what the probable outcome would be. This allows the commander and his staff to further refine a course or courses of action which are all focused on accomplishing the mission. Not a shot has been fired, and there is no risk, since this is really a mental exercise designed to maximize success and minimize loss of life and casualties.
In a small town lived a young Christian woman named Erin who whole-heartedly followed the Bible's commandment, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Leviticus 19:18, WEB) Whenever her neighbors were in trouble, they could always count on her for support, be it emotional, spiritual, or material. One day, her next-door neighbor and long-time friend Bob asked to borrow some money from her for an emergency. Remembering Jesus' words, "Give to him who asks you, and don't turn away him who desires to borrow from you," she un hesitantly wrote out a check for the needed amount. (Matthew 5:42)r

Even the most motivated and upbeat positive thinkers are susceptible tornwinter WOEs. WOE is an acronym for "What On Earth" is happening. If I grant you one wish, asking you, "Do you want money or joy?" which one would you choose? Yes, you can only pick one. Now, carefully think it over. I know what's going through your mind; you're thinking, "If I pick money, I'll be able to have joy, too." Certainly, money can buy you almost everything, but can it bring you true joy?

“No person was ever honoured for what he received. Honour has been the reward for what he gave.” Calvin Coolidge When we go through life we subscribe to different value systems; some people place much emphasis on having a lot of money. Some consider relationships to be more important than everything else. There are those who consider outward appearance and making a good impression to be the most important possessions, sometimes without considering the cardinal principles of character.
Question: Doesn't God know everything? Isn't He all-powerful? So even when He did not create evil, He could have squished it down in an eyeblink. He knew it was coming and exactly from whom and every detail. And He could have saved Jesus from suffering, why didn't He? Why didn't God prevent Satan from creating evil? Answer: Jehovah God does know everything; He can see into the future, etc. So He could have easily seen what trouble Satan would cause everyone. So why didn't God prevent Satan?

What is love? Is it a fluttering of the heart? A giddy feeling? A mind intoxicated by someone's charm? Many would answer yes to all three descriptions. We are all familiar with the story of handsome guy meeting beautiful girl and falling in love in each other. But what if the girl grows old--and we all do--and loses her beauty? What if she gains weight, experiences mood swings, and develops annoying little habits?
For most of us as children, the word “forgiveness” was a daily part of our upbringing. We were told to turn the other cheek, and to forgive and forget. But more often than not, those instructions only applied to other people – many of whom wanted forgiving! I don’t often recall being told to forgive myself, or even being presented with the idea that it was okay to do so. For most of us, we were constantly reminded of our mistakes, by people who were constantly reminded of theirs; being told that it was the only way to learn from them.
Imagine someone you do not particularly like coming up to you, and in front of all your friends, begins to passionately accuse you of things you have never thought of, let alone have done. How would you react in such circumstances? In such cases, maintaining temperance is the key; otherwise, you could worsen an already unpleasant situation. But what is temperance?
When my grandmother, Gammie, visited me in Berlin, Germany she was well over 80 years old. One day we were about to scale four flights of stairs. She looks at me with a grin and says, “Come on. I’ll race you.” No, she didn’t beat me up the stairs, but she did have a brisk pace all the way up. Gammie passed away at the age of 101. She was also well known for keeping her composure. As she was preparing to fall asleep for the final time, she makes one last adjustment of her wig and then passes away peacefully. What was the main reason for her living so long? Was it her genes?
I recently received an email that prompted me to answer a poll about what I feared most. I didn't reply to the email because my biggest fear at that moment was the fear of receiving more unsolicited email. However, I did start thinking about the subject of fear. What are we afraid of? What is fear? What can we do about it? We all have fears at one time or another and to one degree or another. I did a little research of my own and found that next to terrorist, fear of public speaking and fear of success ranked high on the list of things people fear most. Fear of Public Speaking
A funny thing seems to happen around this time of year; I've seen it again and again. At a time when we all should be enjoying beaches and barbeques, sunshine and surf, many people's moods seem to turn a bit blue. The summer romance hasn't panned out the way you thought it would, friends are all busy doing their own thing, the kids are a handful, and soo September will roll around and what has changed from last year? These are the words I hear echoed from clients everywhere.
Motivation is a peculiar and complex state. What motivates one person can be very different than what motivates another even though they are striving for the same goal. Some people can motivate other people but only to a certain degree. At the end of the day, you still have to work out a way to get yourself motivated. But when everything looks bleak and all you want to do is to surrender, where do you find the will to carry on? Begin with winning the battle in your mind.
Body Types - Do You Like How You Look? CAN YOU MORPH INTO A DIFFERENT BODY TYPE? Did you know that there are three different body types? All of us fit into one of these types, or we may have elements of several. They are: Endomorph is a heavy body with a soft and rounded shape. Mesomorph is a well-developed, muscular body. Ectomorph is a long and lean body. Bill Clinton, John Goodman, and Roseanne Barr are endomorphs. A old Schwarzenegger, Daryl Hannah, and Kevin Costner are mesomorphs. Mia Farrow, Anthony Perkins, and Fred Astaire are ectomorphs.
Millions around the world, of different colors, languages, and cultures, have received the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ. (Romans 10:13, WEB)
Everyone needs encouragement. So many people in this world feel discouraged, pressed in, cornered, unworthy, unlovable, or completely overwhelmed by the circumstances of their lives. You can make a difference in one moment if you will honestly and sincerely encourage them. Let them know that they are capable, that they can do the task before them.nnAdults, children and senior citizens all need to be encouraged. One way to do this is to talk with them, give them a clear pictur
There is no doubt that communications is the most influencing aspect in our lives. Via good communications, we achieve peace, we have good families and we achieve success at work. On the contrary, few words in bad communications lead to war, unstable families and failing business. The question is, how do we define good communications? In another way, what makes communications good? I have worked on a formula that I tested during one of my project on all employees, contractors, clients and even family.
One day, during his earthly ministry, Jesus and his disciples got into a boat to cross a lake. As they sailed, a violent storm suddenly raged, tossing the boat around like a toy and quickly filling it with water. Frantic, the disciples went over to Jesus, who was peacefully asleep in the stern, and cried, "Master, master, we are dying!" (Luke 8:24, WEB) Upon waking, Jesus rebuked the wind and the sea, commanding, "Peace, be still!" (Mark 4:39) Immediately, the wind and the sea calmed.
Do you produce good fruits? If so, are they sweet and nutritious, or are they shining on the outside but wormy on the inside? Good fruits? Well, I'm talking about the good works you do. But how can good works be wormy? "Good" works are wormy and rotten when they are done with the wrong motive. They are truly good and nutritious when they are done with the right motive.
Do you love and care for "the least" in your community? Who are "the least"? Jesus answered this question in his parable in Matthew 25:31-46 (WEB):
âI promise to love, honor and cherish youâ¦,â the proverbial vows weâve all witnessed at one wedding ceremony or another, each person taking a vow to be with the other forever, a serious and deep commitment for sure. Yet todayâs divorce rate still hovers around 50%. Why? Are we just a society full of vow breakers, who donât put much integrity into our words? The statistics say one in two people will break their vows because of issues like infidelity, abuse, sex and
Question: Jesus told his disciples, "Seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things [food and clothing] will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33, WEB) How can we seek God's Kingdom and His righteousness first? Sometimes in order to embrace our destiny and to keep rising in our fields, we have to be willing to make some difficult changes in our lives. Why is knowing about God important? Accurate knowledge about Him is vital to our salvation. Read on... God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit comprise what we call the "Holy Trinity." The major problem with self-belief is that one way or the other we are somehow programmed to focus on our faults rather than our abilities and attributes. With this way of thinking, your intention to remedy the faults can no longer affirm a strong self-belief. You should focus on developing your capacity and abilities to understand your natural talent and strengthen your belief in yourself. Everyone is unique in his or her way. There is nobody in this world that is exactly l
Question: What is the battle between good and evil all about? Why is it necessary? Answer: Originally, there was no force of evil, because Jehovah God Almighty did not create anything evil. Evil was created only after a great angel rebelled against God. Jehovah created countless number of angels, who are heavenly servants who do the will of God. One such angel was of great beauty and position. Because of his pride, he wanted to exalt himself even above his Creator, and wanted all to worship him--and still does.
They say, "Like father, like so " or "like mother, like daughter." If you are a child of God, can you say that about your relationship with your Heavenly Father? Do your spiritual qualities illustrate that you are your Father's child?
Question: Did God create evil? Answer: No, Yahweh did not create evil. Evil is simply the result of disobedience to His moral laws. Where there is no light, there is darkness. Likewise, where God's principles and precepts are not kept, there is evil. Some people point to the King James Version translation of Isaiah 45:7 to say that God did create evil. The verse says, "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." However, this verse does not indicate that God creates moral evil.

A man named Jacob once vowed, "If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and clothing to put on, so that I come again to my father's house in peace, and Yahweh will be my God, then this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, will be God's house. Of all that you will give me I will surely give the tenth to you." (Genesis 28:20-22, WEB)

Whose slave are you? Before you protest and say you're nobody's slave, understand that we're all slaves to one thing or another. Do you know that "you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey?" (Romans 6:16, NLT) In other words, we are slaves to whatever controls us (2 Peter 2:19).

Although uncontrolled anger can be quite costly, when channeled properly anger can also be very positive. Among other things, anger can motivate us to work harder to accomplish our goals. This could mean playing harder on the defensive end in a basketball game, studying longer for an exam, or putting in more time when learning to play an instrument. Anger can sometimes lead to newer, higher level goals, possibly fueled by the desire to prove others wrong.

Here’s a seven-word sentence that encompasses everything you must do to really, truly live your dream: Move your dream from someday to now. It’s fun to dream, to think about what you would like to do someday. But that someday part is a real problem. As long as you see your dream as occurring someday, it’s not going to happen for you. Every person who has ever achieved a dream has done so by changing that dream from someday to now.
Do you nourish the women in your life? Do you want to be more nourishing and learn how you can teach others to be so as well?
Do you have an idol in your heart? Now, before you say no, let us define idolatry and see what it means today. In ancient times, idolatry was the worship of idols or the use of idols to represent the "gods" people believed in. Such idols were carved images in various forms made of stones and wood, and the rich folks touted silver and golden ones. Idolatry was practiced by many ancient cultures, by both the worshippers of the only true God, Yahweh, and worshippers of false gods.

I Heard My Heart’s Sound It was chasing me since a long time, an invisible undefined dream. Is it an inner feeling, deep inside or a hidden power led me as it pleases?! Something was screaming in me, It was like Sun, rising above all. It took me where wills not where I want. I didn't know what was driving me step by step to get the way. As life experience increased as confusion dominated. I didn't realize the common factor between these experiences. The factor that moved me as it likes.r
"Take care of our children and show them the way.” We live in a culture of sedentary living and overeating. Our children are watching, listening and learning about life and how to live from us adults, their leaders. They are not interested in what we have to say. They are carefully watching how we live. Schools, parents and local, state and federal governments all have a leadership role when it comes to educating our children and keeping them physically fit. What kind of message are they sending our kids?
My grandmother, who passed away at the age of 102, came to visit me at the young age of 90. I remember distinctly walking with her into a building with several flights of stairs. As we approach the stairs, she looks at me with a grin and says, “I’ll race you!” and she takes off up the stairs. I am not expecting all of us to be that agile at the age of 90 if we make it to that age. Without knowing it, my grandmother was revving up her metabolism and taking care of some cardio. Here are five ways to rev up your metabolism:
Do you know God? If so, do you know Him intimately? And how should you respond to your knowledge of Him? We can know someone in two ways: impersonal knowledge and personal knowledge. To know someone impersonally is to know of the person's existence, their name, what they do, where they live, or perhaps even what they look like. For example, we know the president of the United States. We know his name, what he does, and we know what he looks like (well, except yours truly). Apart from this general knowledge of ours, we do not know President Obama personally or intimately as a friend.

Are you like most people and would totally love the results and the good feelings that come as a result of changing your life? If so, there’s a downside to change – and here it is, despite how much you sincerely want a change, there’s always something that holds you back. It can be the reluctance to travel down a different path, which is the fear of the unknown. There’s an age old saying that goes something like this, “it’s better to stay with the devil you know, rather than the devil you don’t.”
(this piece originally appeared in the Omega Institute's online publication) When I had my career melt-down and fled the life of being an elite-law-firm-corporate-lawyer, (an honors graduate of Harvard Law School) I thought I was changing careers. In doing the work I love, I discovered a fresh Astonishing

Millions upon millions are going through life crawling upon their hands and knees, defeated and dejected. Nothing can be further from the truth!
God is happy with us so long as we attend church regularly, sing psalms to praise Him, and donate to church activities...or is He? Does our church activities alone please God, or does He require something else from us? We can learn the answer to this question by seeing how God Himself feels about religious rituals without a godly lifestyle to back it up.
Question: The Bible's full of great stories but is there any convincing evidence for any of them? Answer: Long before people proved it scientifically, the Bible indicated that Earth hangs in space: "He stretcheth out the north over empty space, and hangeth the earth upon nothing," (Job 26:7) and that Earth is round: "It is he that sitteth above the circle of the earth…" (Isaiah 40:22) The Bible also confirms the scientific theory of the various stages of Earth's formation. One of the best evidences of the Bible's validity is fulfilled prophecies.

Question: Why should Christians obey God's commandments? Answer: Why should children obey their parents? The answer to this question is partially the answer to the question posed. The purpose of obedience to God's commandments is twofold: a) It shows that you love Yahweh your Heavenly Father in turn. Obedience is an expression of love. You cannot claim to love God while you rebel against His laws.r

"Good riddance to good works!" is the mentality of some Christians who believe that obedience to Yahweh God's holy commandments is no longer required once you put faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation. Is this belief Biblical? When we accept Jesus as our Savior, does it mean we can indulge in a paradise of sin?

I learned after years of working my tail off that if I did not take care of myself one of two things was going to happen. Either I was going to lose my health or I was going to lose in terms of my results. Self-care became my battle cry where as before I would sneer a little bit at people that talked about self-care thinking âHow bourgeois!â Little did I know that I would be biting my tongue! Not only did I learn the merits of self-care but I also learned that it was not
The debate about who makes the better employee, a man or a machine, is something that has gone on for a long time. Arguments can be made for both sides. People are able to think independently and are capable of adjusting to the different situations that they face. They can communicate more efficiently as compare to machines and can even earn from their daily activities. Machines perform repetitive tasks over and over. Also, they do the same thing and get the similar results e
Fragmented Souls Not much seems to be said about fragmented souls, but I quite often find that the minute the subject is explained, people seem to identify with it right away. A soul fragment is that part of you that you are always looking for, that part that will make you whole again, and quite often, the wound that never heals. We most often seek to solve this through others, particularly our partners, because that’s what we’ve been taught and we don’t know where else too look. Soul fragments can also be somebody else’s.

From time to time, we all face different types of health problems in our life. We see those ads and commercials all the time offering you the opportunity to get your very own six-pack abs just by buying and using this gadget or that gadget or this or that supplement, and mostly within a very brief period ranging from 24 hours to 3 months. During a romantic surrey ride around Central Park in New York City with my wife, I learned an amazing thing about horses that applies to humans as well. The driver told us that horses need blinders because they’re easily spooked if they see something in their peripheral vision. He explained that from a young age, the horses are trained with blinders and become quite comfortable wearing them; the less they see of the world, the more secure they feel. Now let’s take a cross-s
"I don't know what to eat. I do not have the time to eat healthy. I'm gaining weight. My cholesterol is high. I'm taking Lipitor. My back aches. I'm overweight. My blood pressure is too high. I'm always tired. Can't sleep at night. Can you help?" Does this sound like someone you know? A major part of the solution is to eat lean and clean. Here's how. To eat lean and clean you are eating predominantly and, if possible, exclusively unprocessed foods and you are predominantly eating plant-based products. That is the primary source of nutrients and the best source of healthy eating.
There seems to be a lot of mysticism surrounding success. People are always wondering, âHow can I succeed?â They look around at the likes of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, or Lance Armstrong, and think that those people have something that they donât. That somehow, they were just born âbetter,â in some way that allowed them to succeed. Or maybe, they just got lucky. They think thereâs no way that they can enjoy success like that. Sound familiar? If youâ
Death into New Life: When my mom, and best friend (Rachel) passed away in 2005, I was left dead with her. In the depth of pain, I never felt or saw anything good in her passing. The key principles of effective time management consist of organization, such as scheduling and planning; prioritization of the upcoming tasks accordingly to their importance and urgency and the elimination of unnecessary, time-wasting tasks. #1 Organization The importance of organization can be clarified by envisioning the time-consuming results of not being able to organize one’s daily-schedule and the upcoming tasks. A lack of organization results in chaotic working methods without being able to get an overview, which finally causes a loss of time.
How Paul Lost 40 Pounds: An Interview Paul Kalil has been attending Beach Boot Camp training conducted by Lt. Col. Bob Weinstein, USAR-Ret. on Fort Lauderdale Beach for fifteen months. He is 39 years old and has been overweight since childhood. At 5'8", Paul weighed approximately 240 pounds in high school, but lost 80 pounds in his senior year by moderating his calorie intake and exercising daily. Paul's weight fluctuated in the following years while he attended college, but he remained relatively fit and active and enjoyed running.
It seems that lately you can’t turn on the TV or the radio, or even much talk to anyone without hearing about the recession, financial hardships or general economic disaster. We all seem to know someone, who knows someone who has been devastated by the recent turn of events in our financial markets. But historically, every downtu has eventually been followed by an upturn. This certainly holds true in financial markets, and in my experience, also in our personal lives. The key is to weather life’s storms gracefully, keeping a positive and realistic perspective.
Do you realize the power and authority that resides on the inside of you? If you did, you can impact your life dramatically. Many times people allow their outside circumstances decide their next step. Learn how to take a deep breath, and concentrate on what is happening here. I call these things outside interference, whose purpose is to get a reaction out of you, by reacting to its action. Do you know when you step into a room, circumstances should flee? You have heard these terms being caught off-guard, or blindsided.
December 21, 2012 came and went, and we're still all here. Whose fault is it that this and similar prophecies about doomsday did not come to pass? Who are we to believe anymore? Jesus had warned us, "Many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray." (Matthew 24:11, WEB) So how can we tell true prophets from false prophets? To answer these questions, we need to understand and keep in mind of three things regarding prophecy in general: 1) Only Yahweh God Almighty can foresee the futurernr

Top Five Exercises for Hips, Thighs and Butt by Lt. Col. Bob Weinstein, USAR-Ret. Here are five great exercises to tone and firm up the hips, thighs and butt. Most of these exercises can even be performed within the confines of a work cubicle. Imagine calling a brief time out in your cubicle “jungle” with all heads popping up and then performing a squat or some other exercise together. This may very well be as entertaining as Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet. Add some music and MTV will be calling.
Unless you have been living under a rock, you would have most likely heard about the new diet book, "6 Weeks to OMG: Get skinnier than all your friends" by Venice A Fulton. Now, I haven't actually read the book but have seen the reviews. Some are positive but most aren't. Most are saying it's just a quick fix that caters to people's insecurity about their body issues. In fact, he seems to be copping a fair bit of criticism.
The Law of Attraction has gotten a great deal of attention over the past years, yet I believe it is still very, very misunderstood. I can't tell you how many times I have heard that it does not work and that it's just a bunch of hype. Well, nothing could be further from the truth.
What is a Spiritual Suntan? Well, what is suntan? How do you get one? Why do you get one? Stress. It happens to everyone at some time or another. We get stressed about our work, our relationships, our finances, kids, health and homes. I’ve yet to meet anyone who leads a completely charmed life and never experiences any stress. However, in the last six months, I’ve seen the stress levels in clients, friends and business associates escalate to new heights. I don’t need to point at the troubled global economy or job losses as a common denominator; this is not “news” to so many who have experienced the direct effects first hand. But the question is, what do we do about it?
Finishes “It’s not how you start, but how you finish that counts.” I can’t remember when I first heard that saying, but it is one that has given me great cause to stop and ponder lately. I’m getting older. Not “really old”, but hey, I’m not thirty anymore either! I am at a certain age, where I can’t help but wonder how I will “finish”. What will people remember most about me, my life? Will I ever make it big? Become famous? Do something incredible for mankind? Is it too late? What about all of those stupid, impulsive, ill thought out acts of my youth?
What is so special about the Bible? The Bible is the most unique book for several reasons: 1) The Bible is the only accurate and complete account of human origin. It answers some of life's most important questions: Where did we come from? Why are we here? Where will we go? How can we experience the greatest love, joy, and peace? Where did evil come from? What is death? What happens after we die?
Have you already given up on some of your biggest dreams?
I recently enjoyed a wonderful "break" on vacation with my family! However, I still managed to smuggle my laptop in with every intention of doing some work and creating that week's Coffee Break. So I put my assistant on standby and informed her that I would have the recording and worksheet to her in time to distribute to you.
Nine Ways to Put ACTION in Your Action Planr Inspired and Written in the Midst and Aftermath of Hurricane Wilma by Lt. Col. Bob Weinstein, USAR (Ret.) By now, I am sure just about everyone knows about Hurricane Wilma, which ripped through South Florida on October 24, 2005. Over 6 million people were without electricity. There were long gas lines at the few open gas stations. Water and ice were in short supply. So how did Wilma treat me? Well, that's one relationship that can definitely be described as stormy and brief.
We all live in a material world and each of us has material needs and desires. I have to admit, I do enjoy having my physical comforts and a sprinkling of luxuries, though I wouldn’t call myself largely indulgent. I believe that in our fast-paced, money driven world many of us have forgotten what it means to truly achieve success. Several years back I had my astrological chart done and interpreted by a highly regarded astrologer. Many things she told me about my life and my

The last 2 issues were about surrenderingrn(releasing the need to be in control) and about allowing (being open to what you're told). This is about trust. Many people have trust issues. They don't trust themselves, their partners, their family, their friends, their bosses, coworkers, employees, etc. They may have been abandoned as children or something equally as horrible for a child to endure. The trust I am talking about here is not like the trust you place in another. It is way beyond that and is far less risky.
Did you know that you can make your life better simply by thinking? Do you realize that by reading some very basic ideas, placed in a certain order, you can raise your awareness, charge up your motivation, and even totally change your life. Your beliefs are powerful. Your thoughts can take you to wonderful and unexpected places in life.
We've arrived at issue number 8 in our series on manifesting your heart's desires. This issue is about non-attachment. This is one of the most critical steps in this whole process. To put it another way, you can't be attached to whatever you're manifesting. That is, you can't need it. You can't be desperate to have it. You have to have an attitude of complete non-attachment. It is as if to say, you couldn't care less whether you got the thing that you want or not. You have to want itrnwithout wanting it.
So here we are looking at step 4 in the process of manifesting your heart's desires. In step three, I said I was going tornwrite about being 100% responsible for everything in your life as a vital step in the manifestation process. Being fully responsible is important for two reasons. The first reason isrnthat it gives you a great starting point. I'll explain.
Eat to Win - Strategies to Maximize Performance and Health by Lt. Col. Bob Weinstein, USAR-Ret. Have you ever wondered why, for so many people - especially anyone older than 30 in the U.S. - weight gain seems to be a fact of life? It is because the human body is way too efficient. It doesn’t take much energy to maintain the human body at rest. In addition, when exercising, the human body is amazingly efficient when it comes to turning food into motion. Here are some basic strategies to eat for performance and health. THE OVERWEIGHT HEALTH CRISIS IN THE U.S.
With Labor Day passed and September into full swing, many of us are once again busier than ever! When time is so precious, one of the biggest culprits and thieves seems always to be email. Do you remember when you first started using email….roughly. Or more to the point, do you remember a time when you didn't use it? Most of us can answer yes to both of those questions. There was no email or internet when we were kids – at least not in the form that we use it today. So is it any wonder that so many of us are on email overload?

Stress is just a part of life and can be found no matter where in the world you go. Is stress merely part of the inescapable human condition? Are we as a species chronically worried and unhappy or does bad luck simply find us wherever we are? It’s not practical to believe that we are battling against Fate, Chance or even God. Stress does not happen just to make our day unbearable. You could say that stress is a natural reaction to an action taken, the consequence of a causati
In the last issue we talked about the art of surrender, that is letting go of all of the beliefs about how you think your life is going to look and allowing the Universe to determine the perfect outcome. And surrender is about stopping the battle with your ego and living from your heart. Notice that I said that when you surrender, you need to ALLOW the Universe to determine the perfect outcome. If you are given many great ideas, but you don't listen to them, (allow them) what good will they do? There is a real, almost magical benefit to allowing all possibilities.
Have you ever worked hard to achieve something you wanted, but when it came time to step up, you wanted to run away? This is what happened to my client Charmaine.
The first step towards change is acceptance. Once you accept yourself, you open the door to change. That's all you have to do. Change is not something you do. It's something you allow.rn–Will Garcia What is it that you just don’t have enough of? Is it time? Money? Happiness? Success? Love? Fulfillment? Joy? Space? Sex? Most of us want more of something. As a matter of fact, most of us want more of a lot of things. We live in a society where more is always better, and better usually means more. Yet no matter how much we get, we continually seem to be starving.
This issue is going to help you to start manifesting what you want with much less effort than you may think. You see, it's all about your attention and your intention. According to Thomas Herold, an amazing spiritual healer, teacher and author, "Your attention is the source of the creative process in turning your thoughts into reality. Using your intention builds a constant energy toward the reality you want to create.
Last issue we talked about the first step in manifesting the life of your dreams. That step began with belief. You have tornbelieve in yourself, in what you want, in your skills, talents and abilities. You have to believe that you deserve the life of your dreams. You have to believe it's possible and you have to believe inrnthe manifestation process in the first place. That is to say that you have to believe that your thoughts do indeed create your reality (good, bad orrnsomewhere in between). This issue, we're on to step 2 - Knowing what you want.
Almost everyone has struggled with procrastination at some point in their lives. Today's busy lifestyle seems to encourage procrastination by forcing us to instantaneously prioritize according to our hectic schedules. However, this leads to a false sense of accomplishment, because we are not prioritizing in the right way. Many important tasks are left undone because other things appear to be more important at the moment. Eventually, the undone task becomes critical on our to-do list, but there is no time to get it done.

What is sin? Throughout the Bible, sin is a main topic. As a matter of fact, from the first story in Genesis to the last in Revelation, and even to this day, sin plays a crucial role. Since the topic of sin is so important, it is wise to understand what it really is. In the town where you live, its laws most likely include such prohibitions as murder, robbery, kidnapping, and rape. Breaking any of these laws means you have committed a crime. A crime is an offense you commit against one another; it is an offense against your law. Those who commit crimes are called criminals.
At this time of year I’m always posing the question, “What New Year’s resolutions did you make?” It seems most responses I am getting are along the lines of “I don’t make New Year’s resolutions.” It’s about time to put to bed what I consider to be the top five myths about New Year’s resolutions and whether or not they are worth our time. Myth #1: They do not work.r
We all know how the internet and social media are providing a platform for many talented and skilled artists around the globe. If you look at the global stats of youtubers you will get to know that there are so many people who have made a separate name and fame from YouTube Channels and other social media handles. Using YouTube as a platform people with creative talent are emerging and are making a name for themselves. The internet gives the opportunity to the individual to s
In the last issue, I asked 6 very important questions to help you to start to live on purpose. They were: 1. What's your purpose? 2. What dreams are still inside you? 3. What do you want to do with your life, but have never done? 4. What would bring you a ton of joy and fulfillment on a daily basis? 5. What's your greatest passion? 6. What would that life be worth to you? Did you answer them? If not, you should ask yourself why you didn't.
You may have heard of people encouraging you to bounce back from defeat or hardships. Well, talk is cheap, and I do not know about you, but sometimes, I struggle with trying to be resilient. However, over the years, I have learnt that overcoming failure is possible. It is a challenge in itself, and you can overcome it. I am being real with you. It may not be easy, but check out these points that I will be talking about today. There is a saying that goes, “to err is human” an
When to change? - What to change? - How to change? For most of us, the thought of change can send us into a panic attack. For some of us, we might fear change because it disrupts our sense of security and consistency by challenging our perceptions. As much as we crave stability and security, change is an inevitable part of life and we can either choose to embrace it or resist it. From the minute we are born, our body remains in constant change and resisting it only makes it
Outside the box thinking is a magnificent ability that can help you to solve very complicated and complex problems, by changing your perspective as this allows you to come up with solutions no one else had thought of. Even scientists and inventors make use of the principle to think outside the box that allows them to view things from another perspective, for instance by observing and analyzing Mother Nature. But how does it work to “think outside the square”? 1. Question things
Last issue we talked about your bank account (however large or small) having nothing to do with your value as a person. You're not better or worse than anyone if you have 100 million dollars or 10 dollars to your name. Your value always remains the same. You are priceless. But being priceless is not just a concept orrna good idea. It is an absolute necessity for you to be successful.
In the last issue, I shared with you a prosperity affirmation. How is it working for you? Are you reading it daily as is suggested to do? Are you reading it and letting the words penetrate deep into your psyche? You see, in the 20+ years now that I have been studying personal development, behavior and how to turn potential into power, I have come to clearly understand that wealthy people think differently than poor people and they do things that poor minded people won't do.
Eighty percent of American executives feel that corporate America has a responsibility to promote wellness, according to a study by the American Management Association. On the other hand, less than twenty percent of U.S. employers offer lifestyle modification services, this according to the American journal of Health Promotion. If leadership thinks it is important enough, it will be implemented. The problem is there is a part of our culture that puts the daily lifestyle approach to true health and wellness on the back burner.
Myths, Lies and Propaganda about Exercise By Lt. Col. Bob Weinstein, USAR-Ret. Throughout my career in the military I have come across a variety of tall tales about eating and exercise. The extent of misinformation is so great that you’d think we were dealing with Cold War propaganda. If a lie is told frequently enough it is treated as the truth. Here are some of the myths, lies and propaganda about exercise. Exercise MYTH # 1: The best time to exercise is in the morning, because it jump-starts your metabolism. The TRUTH: Exercise anywhere, anytime.
This issue is a deeply personal one. In it I share a very deep insight into my life. May it bless you and may it serve you for the rest of your life. Last issue we talked about mastering the inner game of wealth. And I said, "I can't stress enough how much money is just a physical demonstration of the things that you think, believe and know about yourself and how you interact inrnthe world. To the degree that you value, respect, honor and love yourself, is the degree that you'll be wealthy.
For the past two issues, we've been talking about using the power ofrnfocus and letting your subconscious mind do the work of attracting money to you. Briefly recapping all that we've discussed so far, you attract all of the wealth you want by: visualizing it, feeling it in your hands, smelling it, knowing that it will come to you because you know the truth and your truth and because your focus is where it needs to be and you're not attached to having it. Those things are all well and good, yet some people still don't do them.
This series of powerful, in-depth articles is on wealth creation, abundance attraction and prosperity.
In the last issue, we talked about knowing your truth (you are priceless and can do way more than you have done), knowing the truthrn(the Universe is an unlimited playground built for your amusement and that you can have anything you want from it. And we talked about focusing solely on what you want so that you don't send mixed signals out to the Universe and it can deliver to you exactly what you want, not what you don't want. Those three steps are the secret, behind the movie, The Secret.
$84,600.00 to be HAPPY! So I was listening to one of those inspirational shows, and the question was posed: “You have just been given $84.600.00 dollars to spend in 24 hours – what do you buy – what do you spend it on – do you spend it all – or leave a few dollars behind?” I really pondered what I would do
In the last issue, we talked about you discovering your core, unconscious negative belief about money. Did you find out what it was? If so, you're well on your way to having a brand new relationship to money. If you have not found itrnyet, then keep looking. If you have not looked for it yet, ask yourself why? If you're not where you want to be financially you've got nothing to lose and much to gain. On to this issue. One of the greatest things you can do to attract money is to give it away. Yes, you read that right. You attract more to you when you give it away.
When I first started coaching, I was working with my own coach - a sharp smart lady who had a few simple rules for running her life; rules that I learned to love and quickly adopted as my own: "Work Hard, Have Fun, No Drama." But being human, every once in a while I slip, and last week I broke rule # 3 - “No Drama”. What ensued was, life became less fun, and I got less work done, and all because of a little drama! Read on, and discover what I learned about dealing with drama. Drama comes in many forms.
What are you holding onto that is not serving your real purpose? What relationships do you continue to nurture that are detrimental to your mental health and fitness? What mindset do you continue to feed into that prevents you from truly be the person you are designed to be? Many times, the thing that keeps us from growing or moving forward is our unwillingness to let go of things that we don't need in our lives.
Well, we've arrived. Your tenth and final issue dealing with your money and your life is here. It has been a fun journey and I have learned a lot myself by writing these articles on abundance. I hope that they have served you in ways that have far surpassed your expectations. On to this issue. In the last series of articles, I wrote about manifesting your heart's desires and how to use the Law of Attraction to bring to you what you want, instead of what you don't.
In strange economic times, it's easy to get lost in all the negativity on the news. It's easy to get lost in all the "bad news" out in the world. It's easy to be overcome by all the doom and gloom. So, it's more important than ever to keep things in the proper perspective. That's the focus of this issue. It's about knowing your truth, the truth of the Universe and it's about where your focus is. To begin with, your truth is that you are an unlimited being.
One of the biggest issues I've seen over the years working with clients is that of communications. So often, situations can go array simply for lack of crystal clear communications. Part of the problem is also part of the beauty; we all have different communication styles. And as much as this ads to the inherent complexity and fascination of life, it can also be frustrating when we are "speaking different languages" and not even aware of it. One of my favorite example is of a couple who would continually get into fights over playing tennis.
Being 100% responsible for your life is something that most people tend to overlook. They feel they must accept the circumstances that life throws their way. This is the farthest thing from the truth. One definition of responsibility I like is being responsibility for your life, for your feelings and for every result you get. It seems that popular culture loves to dodge responsibility. However, the exact moment you choose to take 100% responsibility for your life is the moment you take back control your life and claim the personal power you’ve always had.
In last issue, we talked about giving as a way to gain and I really wanted to share a story that I did not have room for, so I thought I would share it quickly here. A few weeks ago, I found a five dollar bill in the parking lot of Wal-Mart. I immediately was grateful and thankful. I took it as a sign of the Universe providing in ways I can't even imagine. I got in my car and started driving out of the parking lot and I noticed an old man who appeared to be hurting. He was frail, sickly looking, tired and he needed a cane just to help him take each slow and painful step.
There are so many things around you that could distract you. You might actually have something to do at this moment but once you start doing something else you never stop until you get it done even though you aren't working on the task that you are supposed to work on.rnDistraction can ruin your entire life within seconds depending on the responsibility you have. If you are driving a car and you got distracted, the chance of having an accident increases.rnAnd distraction happ
Adversity is another means to discover your capability. It introduces you to your real you, and then, bring out the best in you. Adversity serves as a barometer to measure the greatness in an individual. The real you manifests itself in times of adversity. Your ability to continue or withdraw from the race of life is normally tested at times when faced with fiery trials of life. According to the popular Proverbs 24:10, âIf you faint in the day of adversity your strength is
If you think change is stressful, try NOT changing. Have you had it up to here with facing so much change? Are you resisting it, avoiding it, or embracing it? Do you want a fresh, new perspective on change? Do you need to get inspired and motivated to action? Well, it’s “GO” time!
When, where, with whom and how we use the âFâ word, still remains a mystery to some folks, and to others, is right down scary if not unacceptable. And yet, not using it in an effective way can cost you thousands of dollars in business not to mention, missing out on prospects, opportunities, growth, expansion, belonging, and community relations. And of course, your friends and family get left out as well. In this day and age of âSocial Mediaâ Explosion and Revolution,
It Is Up To You So, you want to get promoted. The possibility really lies in your own hands. Remember the trite but true saying, “If it is to be, it is up to me!” Don’t wait for things to happen. Set yourself apart from the crowd and make things happen. Most people look outward for success. ...
Did you set any goals for this year? Are you well on your way to reaching them? One of the most common stumbling blocks I see as a coach is the culprit of clutter! So much time is spent on getting more; more stuff, more money, more time, more happiness. Yet seldom do we look at what we need to get rid of in our lives to make space for the new to come in. We literally pack on the pounds in every area of our lives! We weigh down our consciousness’ with heavy thoughts and impossible “to do” lists. We weigh down our desks with papers that need filing.

I met a lady recently. Her eyes were simply amazing. They had a sparkle in them that could light a football field. These are the kind ofrneyes that you look at and are simply in awe of. Like a moth to a flame, they are irresistible. So, why did I share that with you in an article about living on purpose? Because, she was not living her purpose. She did that because she was told all her life by other people that it was not OK to be who she was. She was told to back off. She was told to “tone it down”. Her energy was too strong for people to handle.r
I recently had the opportunity to find out what I am really made of (although at the time it didn’t feel like an opportunity; I use the word here only because it sounds much better than saying I was forced to take a hard look at myself, wondering if I really had the “stuff” to succeed, if I really had the stomach for the path I had chosen to take). When challenges or obstacles arise in your life, it is easy to get frustrated and overwhelmed. Those challenges may appear insurmountable, and you may feel that you are unable to maneuver your way around the obstacle.
When financial planner and motivational speaker Suze Orman talks, people listen. Orman says we all need to get our financial priorities straight. "The correct order is people, money and things. You have to care about yourself and others [first]. And you can't go from people to things; you need the money. You can't jump a chasm in two leaps. And that's exactly what we tried to do and look what happened." Time and again, clients have come to me with financial worries, and inevitably the order of their priorities is reversed; they are surrounded with things.
We’re all trying to squeeze more into, and get more out of our days. With overflowing inboxes, and schedules that are packed tight, making the best use of our precious hours is becoming increasingly important. While we can’t actually manage time itself, we can exercise some control over how we use it. Time is a unique resource, because we all get exactly the same amount of time to utilize everyday. When today runs out, I get a brand new 24 hours to spend tomorrow! But be wary of “spending” your time.
Vision is what keeps a person alive otherwise they are just walking around going through the motions. Just like a robot following a certain command. You have heard people say, “I am just going with the flow.” What if the flow is leading them away from their desires? Have you ever found yourself in a position where you have lost your focus and all hope seems to have vanished? This is what occurs when distractions come and you take your eyes off of your goals and begin listening to the voice of distractions.
If you believe that the purpose of our earthly experience is for us to learn so we can grow as an individual and evolve as a species, you also probably believe that there are lessons all around us. I am one of these people. I was taught to "still hunt" and this knowledge has proved invaluable to me as a student of life. Still hunting is simple and can be done by anyone. It is finding a place, any place, and observing the people, nature and things around you in an effort to learn from them. The "place" is more of a mental state of being since any location can serve to teach you.
One of the best pieces of advice that a coach ever gave me was "Never begin your day before it's finished on paper." Over the years, this has served me extremely well. Whenever my day is not flowing smoothly, or I'm generally unproductive or "feeling a little lost" chances are it is due to poor preparation. This is equally common with the hundreds of clients I've worked with. But I've also discovered that preparing for stellar days goes way beyond the to-do list. There are also mental and physical components. A few small, minor modifications can yield outstanding results.
This is just one small, but impactful, excerpt from my own eBook: How to Get Anything You Want Out of Life…And, More! Even if you never purchase the eBook, read this section again and again. Read in its entirety. You really can achieve your goals. You really can accomplish more than you thought was possible. Don’t just read this post, take action! A story a bit more public than mine is that of Mr. October. Reggie Jackson, for baseball fans, is known as Mr. October for hitting home runs when they counted most (during the playoffs and World Series).
They live among us. In human form. To the untrained eye, it is almost impossible to tell the difference. Typically they look like you and I. But they're not. They're not like us at all. They are Vampires and their modus operandi is not to steal your blood but rather, your precious energy. Your ...
It’s a dream of everybody to become a successful person. Isn’t it? Then why most people remain losers and unsuccessful throughout their lives? A very simple answer! They do not possess the required qualities of a successful person. You cannot win unless you develop a winning aptitude within you. In order to become a successful person you need to know the characteristics of a successful person which I am giving below, in brief: 1. Education and Skills
Whether you are a group leader, or a storeowner, or even an ordinary man walking down the street, one thing is for certain: people don’t trust you. Why should they? They don’t even know who you are. Life experience (not to mention ghastly news coverage) has warned them not to be naïve about life or about strangers that they meet. Can you blame them for not trusting you? Just because you smile, just because you start a company or an organization, doesn’t mean that you are trus
Today's world is evolving incessantly and time management has become essential to excel in such a fast paced environment. How someone manages time and given task is the key to become successful now a day. Considering this ever evolving world, incorporating information technology has become indispensable to cope up with it.
I am not really one for New Year resolutions. I kind of think I need to be continually making changes and improvements throughout the year. However, this year, I cleaned closets, rearranged my kitchen, brought stuff to the Salvation Army, AND, of course fit in some time for both relaxation and celebration. I am not sure what got into me. It just felt like the right thing to do to clear things out and make room for the new! So, I thought I would spend a little time talking abo
Empower Yourself by Getting and Staying Motivated Have you ever set a Goal (like slimming regime, business plan) at one point and find yourself losing motivation at the other? If you recall, in life, you will be facing this type of happenings numerous times because giving up or quitting has already been developed as a bad habit. Even the motivated of us, you or me, even the top life coach in town can feel unmotivated at times. We will get into a negative emotional state that
We live in a quick fix society and as a result, many people have been tricked into thinking that the results they want in life should come easily and quickly. Turn on the TV or surf the web and look at the ads that are displayed. From money making programs that will supposedly retire you in 6 months to weight loss products like machines and pills that will shed a bunch of weight off in 30 days without much effort on your part, it's hard not to believe getting everything you w
One of the major things that stops most people from ever moving forward on their goals and closer to their dreams is fear. One of the biggest fears is the fear of failure, of not knowing if you can actually accomplish the dreams you set out to achieve. We are afraid of what people will say or think if we don't achieve what we set out to do. Theodore Roosevelt put it amazingly well: rn" It's not the critic who counts; Not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or
Do you have a goal? I certainly hope so! Even better is a list of many goals, each one leading up to the next as we begin to discover our purpose in life and our passions going into the future. And while everyone seems to have a dream, itâs no secret that many of us struggle to achieve those dreams. Then again, for some people the realization of goals, no matter how lofty or seemingly out of reach, appears effortless. Itâs almost as if they are charmed somehow. So, does t
Project management is a decision-driven enterprise, and while many of the required decisions are inconsequential, many more involve and affect people, resources, and the natural environment. Decisions of this type require careful thought, especially when conflicts between factors occur and the potential for risk arises. If a project manager is to make the sort of wise decisions that engender trust in stakeholders and adhere to the principle of doing no harm, working from a so
Is sex dirty? Some people view sexual love as dirty, but it, in fact, is a blessing from Jehovah God Almighty, our Creator. However, while sex in itself is not dirty, it becomes polluted when it is not valued and when it is not shared in settings other than what it is intended for. Do you not agree that something good (like medicine) can be harmful if not used for which it is intended? The Value of Sexual Relation and Its Intended Setting rnr
There are many thoughts and ideas about power - what it takes to get power, to hold power and to stay in power. There are also thoughts and ideas about empowerment but these seem to run a close second to the beliefs about power. Some might argue they are the same thing, or that they are so closely related as to negate discussion. But there is a difference.
"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." – Thomas Edison What a great quote. It certainly explains why so many opportunities get overlooked, right? It is easier to avoid new opportunities than to explore new ones, especially if a lot of effort is involved.
What do the sun, a lighthouse, a police officer, and a Christian have in common? They are all lights of the world, providing warmth, guidance, warning, and exposing darkness. The sun brings warmth and delight, a lighthouse aids and guides, a police officer maintains order by warning and disciplining offenders; and like these lights, a Christian should shine forth as the ultimate light of the world by providing joy, assistance, correction and rebuke. Now, let us look at the three light aspects of Christian living. Bringing Warmth and Delight as the Sunrnr
âIt is better to strive in oneâs own dharma than to succeed in the dharma of another. Nothing is ever lost in following oneâs own dharma. But competition in anotherâs dharma breeds fear and insecurity.â ~ Krishna from The Bhagavad Gita Dharma. It comes from the Sanskrit dhri, which means âto support, hold up or bear.â The word means many things, but according to Eknath Easwaran, dharma âimplies support from within: the essence of a thing, its virtue, that whic

Have you ever concentrated on something so hard that the world seems to recede into the background? Like when you see a blemish on your chin and it begins to take on the dimensions of a quarter? Or when you are shuffling through a business proposal that you must deliver that day to an unsupportive group of peers? Each, in their own right seem to gobble up every inch of computing brain space as you mull over advantages, consequences, causes, and reactions of others. Our level
Have you ever wondered why some people seem to live a charmed life? I’m referring to those individuals who appear to have magical powers to attract things and circumstances they want into their lives. This ‘magic’ power can be attributed to their daily habits. These individuals get what they want and become the person they desire to be as the result of the choices and actions they take. They simply create winning rituals which is basically a routine comprised of good and supportive habits.
This issue is about the power of gratitude. In that vein, I'd like to take a moment to say to you, "Thanks for being reading. Thanks for being a part of my life. Thanks for deciding to improve your life and for using me as a resource to help you to do that." Each issue I write, I put myself in your place and imagine the questions you would ask and I do my best to answer them line by line when they come up.
Since I have started this series on manifesting your heart's desires, I have been manifesting like crazy. I've had more ideas, more support, more love, more clarity, more direction, more drive tha I've had in years...and years. I thought I was motivated before, but that was nothing compared to what's going on now. Well, if you haven't figured it out by now,the last step in the process of manifesting your heart's desires is the action step. I can't tell you how many people don't take the appropriate action though. It's huge.
Whatever goal you set out to achieve, staying motivated is not always easy. It's sometimes claimed that if the goal is big enough and important enough than that is all the motivation needed to getting out there and achieving it. This theory does have merits. However, regardless of what kind of goal we may set ourselves, the challenges and obstacles we will inevitably face along the way can sometimes affect our focus and motivation. If it's a job promotion you want; you want t

We all do it. We put it off. Push it back. Wait. Hope. Agonize. And in the eleventh hour, at the last moment, or when we just can't stand to live with it any longer, we finally get it done! This is the anatomy of procrastination. Procrastination is one of the biggest dream killers out there. It diminishes opportunities, thwarts our progress, keeps us stuck in the past and sets us up for failure. I recently came across a great quote from the author William James, "Nothing is so fatiguing as the ete al hanging on of an uncompleted task." Oh so true.

Motivation is the reason we get out of bed in the morning instead of sleeping all day. It is what drives us to get to work or the gym and work harder, smarter, and more efficiently than the day before. Motivation is the reason that great ideas are turned into great accomplishments. Motivation is what drives us to get things done! nnHave you ever found it puzzling, and sometimes frustrating, that at certain times you are extremely motivated and feel like nothing can stop you a
Business cards are underestimated as a marketing tool, yet it’s one of the things that we use most often in promoting our businesses. Your business card should be given careful consideration; something that someone will look at and get a very good idea not only of what you do, but what you can do for them.
There is a great divide between the dreamers of the world and the do’ers. Those that merely dream about their dream, and those that actually live it. For most of my life I was just a dreamer - praying, wishing and hoping for a life that felt miles and miles away. It wasn’t until I turned my “wishing” into “expecting” that I finally began to create the life I only used to dream about. Part of my mission in creating Making Mountains Move is to help every dreamer on planet Earth become a do’er and create their TRUE heart’s desires.
Do you remember what birthdays were like when you were a child? You anxiously awaited your birthday gifts so you could unwrap them. You didn't really know what to expect sometimes, but the excitement of getting that gift was well worth the wait. Your spouse is like that much anticipated birthday gift. James 1:17 tells us that "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of heavenly lights, with whom is no variableness (change), neither shadow of turning." Do you remember what birthdays were like when you were a child?
Do you lack the motivation to get out of bed on time? Have you recently discovered that you’ve been surrendering to laziness and procrastination? Discovering the factor that motivates you is one issue, it is quite another to be capable of staying with it… Staying motivated and productive is not as easy as procrastinating and getting lazy, of course. However, laziness, procrastination and lack of motivation are terrible practices that can suck the life out of you in the long run.

Never stop doing what you did to fall in love. Today, many relationships fail because we stop doing what we did to fall in love in the beginning. We get in the relationship, we get familiar with our partner, and then we get complacent.
I've been promising myself I'd write an article for www.selfgrowth.com because this site just pumps me up. The problem is that I am not like most of the experts here. That's OK though, I've just gotta be me. I'm not your typical motivational writer. I don't see the world through rose colored glasses, at least not perpetually so, and I don't insist on putting a positive twist on every single situation that fate sends my way. I am more likely to be motivated by a chip on my shoulder than a sparkle in my eye.
Any great fisherman knows that you cannot catch a good fish without the right bait and a lot of time on your hands. When you fish, you set time aside, and you have the right tools for the job. After that, all you do is pay attention to the conditions, get a good feel for the weight and balance of the fishing pole, and then know when to reel in the catch. Luck could be thought to be the same way; you have to be prepared to catch it, because it can easily slip away from you just as quickly as it tugged on your line. Innovation Where You Least Expect It

Standing over a deep ravine, strapped to a bridge with an oversized rubber band, you begin questioning your intelligence. But hey, you are on a new path in life where you are facing your fears and getting out of your comfort zone, breaking through the walls that limit your abilities. The fear and questioning set in as you hear the countdown to jump time. You muster all your courage and jump… The fear is overwhelming for an instant, then feelings of absolute freedom as you feel like you are flying, then dread and another crushing fear as you see the earth racing towards you.
A beautiful life lesson for me has been the acceptance that miracles are born through impossible circumstances. Most of us are lovers of miracles and are uplifted when hearing of one. However, in a sprit of truthfulness, we do not desire circumstances where nothing but a miracle can help our love ones or the difficulty we face. More often than not, in this condition, we are looking into the face of pain or a disaster and a miracle is required for recovery. A statement frequen

Embracing the struggle doesn’t mean to enjoy struggling. It means to learn from the struggle. So often we don’t learn from what we are going through nor do we take the time to enjoy what we have because we are too busy hoping for what we don’t have. Therefore at every moment of our life we are ignoring the present and always longing for a better future not realizing that we are draining the power from the present moment.

I'm 10 days away from my South Africa speaking engagement. I'm excited beyond words. I was thinking this morning though. I said to myself, who am I to be flown into South Africa with my security and to be paid some people's year salary to speak? Who am I not to have a college degree and no plaques on my wall validating my existence? Who am I to be 29 years old and an international speaker and coach? Then a small still voice said to me, "Who do you serve?" I answered, "Jesus Christ." Then the voice said, "That's your answer."

Some people go through their life in an almost dreamlike state. They keep thinking that they will wake up at any moment, and that they will be living the life that they have always wanted. What they do not know, but may realize at some point, is that the dream has to start somewhere. In order to be successful, you need to think successfully, and you need to act successfully. If that seems easy, then that is because it is.
One thing standing in the way of happiness for many people is long-held guilt over something that happened days, weeks, months, or even years ago. A twinge of guilt can be very useful in letting us know that we took a wrong turn somewhere, but long-held guilt offers absolutely no benefit at all. What do we cling to that is so unforgivable? When a beloved child makes a mistake, does their mistake suddenly turn them into a wretched and unforgivable sinner? The spiritual Teachin
The Dilemma. Joy is being robbed and stolen from us, from the entity of our soul, from the very life in us. Through circumstances, situations, and relationships, and circumstances, our reservoir of joy is dwindling day by day. The other day a friend shared with me how she lived in the dark world of drug addiction for years. There were negative things that impacted her life as a child. In her eyes, drugs provided an escape from those memories of abuse, low self-esteem, and tro
Yes, it's true. I can laugh now but it was no joking matter back then when I hurled my golf club farther than I had just hit that last shot. I also laugh at myself when I think of the time when I was intimidated by an employee and changed my operational plan because I was "afraid" that he would lead a mutiny in my group. I spent 23 years in the express transportation industry coaching, training and managing personnel and operations. I played the amazing game of golf for a dec
Authentic Business? rnWhat does it mean for you? Iâve been getting a lot of eMail lately asking what I mean by âAuthentic Businessâ. We get so busy working in our business, organizing our familyâs schedule, managing the household, paying our bills, etc. that it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of it all. Too busy to see if what we are working so hard to achieve is what we even want anymore.
