1. Have a clear goal.
To achieve anything, a woman must have a clear goal. You must know what you want to do with that brilliant idea. You must know what the end result of your idea will look like, so that you can take deliberate and focused actions to achieve that desired result. A clear goal steers you in the right direction and keeps you on track. Do you have a clear goal?
2. Have a plan of action.
Now that you have a clear goal, how do you intend to achieve it? As a woman who wants to achieve her goals, having a plan of action is necessary because it is your means to achieve the end. As you write your plan, consider the most feasible way to work toward achieving your goal, the resources you need to achieve it, the people whose help you need, and the deadlines to achieve your secondary objectives and ultimately the main goal.
3. Focus on the goal not the obstacle.
Although, obstacles are a part of the success process, your attitude and focus should be on doing whatever is necessary to attain what you want— and that means, overcoming obstacles and achieving your goal. Focusing on obstacles paralyzes you with fear and prevents you from turning your idea into reality. As a woman who wants to achieve her goals, you must always keep your focus on the goal— your big picture!
4. Take calculated risks.
Calculated risks are, focused, well considered and understood by you. A woman who wants to achieve her goals must take calculated risks. Nothing is ever achieved by just watching from the sidelines. You must defy your fears and take small or big steps toward achieving your goal. Do whatever is in your power to do. Remember that your idea will not turn into reality on its own. Someone will have to do something about it and that person is you!
5. Stay motivated.
The process of turning your idea into reality may be long and drawn out. The sailing may not be as smooth as you desire and you might be tempted to give up. You must stay motivated and passionate about your goal. Encourage yourself by listening to motivational tapes or reading uplifting articles and success stories. Surround yourself with positive people who believe in you, support your vision and fan your flames for achievement.
6. Push forward.
Ensure that you don’t get stuck in the rut of inactivity, procrastination and self sabotage. Whenever you are stuck, promptly identify the cause and then make an effort to resolve it and move forward. Don’t give up. Remember, your brilliant idea is on the line and nothing should stand in the way of its success! Therefore, keep pushing forward until you reach the finish line. Since you have come this far, you might as well go all the way.
7. Cross the finish line.
The most gratifying thing about turning your idea into reality is holding the tangible prize of all your hard work in your hand. To know that you worked hard and achieved your goal is so fulfilling and the beauty of it is that, any woman, including yourself can do it!
