Ever hunt for treasure when you where a child? Remember the thrill of the hunt, anticipation of the prize and the exhilaration when you found the treasure. The treasure might not have been anything more than a shiny rock or small toy. The size of the prize did not matter--it was the value that we cherished.

The same is true when I go shopping. The thrill of the hunt for a bargain is intoxicating. The exhilaration of finding a valuable piece at rock bottom price is satisfying. Some of my most loved pieces came from the clearance rack. Just because they where marked down does not reflect the love, appreciation and value I place on them. They are beautiful, precious and useful.

Yet when it comes to our value we often put ourselves on the clearance rack. Believing that we are not important, worthy or precious. Life tramples us with unexpected traumas. We allow others to stomp on our self esteem. We carry on the verbal abuse in our heads from childhood of not being good enough.

Go on a treasure hunt just like when you where a child. Enjoy the thrill of the hunt, the anticipation of the prize and the exhilaration of finding the treasure that lies deep with in you. There is a treasure waiting to be revealed within you and only you can find it. Take yourself off of the clearance rack. Emotionally recognize your beauty, value and worthiness. Even from the clearance rack great treasures are found.
