Unfortunately I experienced the Law Of Attraction in a very negative (unknowingly) way for many years. From young I was told how women should behave and their purpose in life. My family honestly believed the men were the bread winners and the women the housekeepers. Being continually bombarded with statements like "women don't do that" and "that's a man's job", had a dramatical affect on the way I was looking at the world. There seemed to be a stigma put on women who did extra ordinary things, rather than an awe.

I am not one to observe laws or norms and decided I would prove them wrong. I learnt to overhaul an engin, plough a field, skipper a boat, and many other things "only men can do". This was all well and good but I was not aware until now what I was doing. I was "never worthy" of earning a salary equavalent of a man, and had to be content with my job.

I know whatever I put my mind to doing physically I could achieve. Never understood why or how just persaverance and hard work got the job done.

About 2 months ago I was sent the book "The Secret". I basically skimmed it and then read it again. The lights seemed to go on in a room which had been dark for over 40 years. All these years I had been harbouring the words imprinted on me in the back of my mind. Useless, not good enough, lazy, female, weak.

I know mentors usually state "We create what we are" but how can that be true if we have been taught that that is what society expects of you and it is imprinted on you for most of your life? How can we tell the difference if all we have been shown from birth is what our parents believe. Say I take a new born baby and tell it that grass is candy floss and green is lilac etc. How will that child know what is right from wrong? We are not all to blame for our reality but once we have been shown the way then we have no excuse.

I have been reading articles and following motivational mentors since discovering the book and my life has turned around. David Neagle was the first speaker I listened to and he made so much sense I had to hear more. Every day now I listen to motivation audios and read something inspiring and motivational. Not just because I have to or want to but it has increasingly become like a drug. I have to see more, I need to know more, I want more. I am so addicted.

I have started to implement some of these thinkings on my 12 year old son. I know it is maybe a little high tech for him or his mind wanders but I am determined to show him he has no need to struggle or want in life. His ultimate dreams will become a reality.

I have begun to see a dramatic effect in my life with regards to relationships and finances. Struggling just a few months ago I was worried where the next meal would come from. Now I know it will be there... I never ask how, it just seems to appear. I know there are still some mental blocks somewhere, but am dusting my cobwebs out bit by bit and by September I will be someone not even my siblings will not recognise. Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

I have decided to change my life and way of thinking. I will be working in the future to help other people do the same. If we all make a ripple in a pond we can cause a tidal wave.

Love Peace and Prosperity to All
