“When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.” Confucius
How often have you said you are going to do it BIG this time? You had the idea and great motivation. You might not have had the “know how.” Regardless, you were ready to move forward. It felt good.
The decision to take action is as important, if not more important, than the actual “know how.” Your decision determines the direction you take. The desire to make that move created the opportunity to do whatever becomes necessary for success. The mindset is based upon how you think about the steps necessary to achieve your goal.
What is your mindset? How do you think and act about making it BIG? For success to occur your thoughts, beliefs, feelings and actions need to be congruent. When you believe in yourself and your product, everything begins to line up.
Having it all line up is not as easy as it sounds. Fear gets in the way of success. Look at the head games you play that keep you from putting yourself out there in a big way. What are the risks that stop you dead in your tracks? Identifying your fear is the first step toward breaking that barrier.
If you are lacking confidence, you are more dependent on others to reflect back to you feelings of importance. Exte
al validation compensates for the lack of inner feelings of worthiness. The stronger the internal sense of worthiness, the stronger your confidence and ability to face your fears.
Feeling worthy of success is crucial. You are ready to take each step necessary. You have the mindset. A strong belief in yourself will propel you forward even when it is uncomfortable.
Determine which area of your mindset needs to be strengthened and then make the decision to transform the negative thoughts into positive affirmations. You are capable of changing your mindset. A positive outlook is one more step toward your success.
Activity: Stand in front of a mirror for five minutes. Take a good look at yourself. Look at your reflection. Write down everything that you see or think about yourself. For every negative that you write, write a positive trait also. Do this for a period of 30 days.
