Tom Lehman has had a long and distinguished career on the PGA Tour, but despite his longevity and victory in the 1996 British Open, he has (only) won five times on tour. The cumulative percentage of his victories per tou ament is barely 1 percent. Kenny Perry has won thirtee PGA Tour events in over nineteen years, which accounts for about 2 percent overall. A old Palmer won sixty-two tou aments over his nineteen year PGA career for a winning percentage of 8 percent. For comparison, Tiger Wood’s PGA winning percentage is obviously the highest at approximately 27 percent.

Any time an athlete commits suicide is a tragedy. The sporting community is mou ing the loss of four gifted athletes. Rick Rypien, 27, who recently signed with the Winnipeg Jets in the National Hockey League, is the most recent athlete to have committed suicide. Derek Boogaard, 28, another NHL player, Jeret 'Speedy' Peterson, 29, U.S. Olympic silver medalist freestyle skier and Dave Duerson, 50, former NFL player with the Chicago Bears, also committed suicide earlier this year.
Have you ever felt so strongly about something that you were willing to do anything in order to reach your goal? Even though there were barriers, you knew this was right for you and nothing was going to stop you. Obstacles you previously avoided were now challenges you were ready to take on and overcome. You had a “do anything” attitude. Once you develop a burning desire to reach a goal and you feel a strong innate sense about this new direction, your entire mindset shifts. The excuses and the resistance all of a sudden melt away.
The principle of the Law of Attraction states that what you focus on, you will attract. Therefore if you are focusing on something negative, you will attract more negativity into your life. If you are focusing on positive, then you will bring more positive into your life. When you have tried to focus on something positive, do you feel that it worked for you? Did you end up achieving your goals? Everything you do is either about expansion, and allowing, or about constriction, and restricting. Consider your desire to grow your business. Is it expansive or constrictive?
“Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.”General George Patton Let’s face it, endurance events are painful. When it catches athletes off guard, their performance falters. The solution is to get beyond the pain, and to maintain focus in the present with the goal in mind. On race day Sam knew he had done everything possible to prepare for the century cycling event, a 100-mile bike race. It was a confidence booster. He relished the rush of adrenaline coursing through his body in anticipation of the start.

I recently began working with Sandy (not her real name). She came into counseling for eating disorders and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The first time that we met I discussed EFT with her. At that time, she was resistant to using EFT and states that she had tried tapping before and did not ...
"An athlete is a normal person with the gift of an undying passion to be the best and achieve greatness." Amanda Ring Over time most athletes are going to suffer injury. It is a given. In an ideal world if you knew you were going to be injured, it would be great to schedule the injury at the beginning of the off-season. Unfortunately it rarely happens that way. No matter when you are injured it is going to upset your life, training and season. The strategy is to deal with it in the best possible way. The goal is to return to play as quickly as possible.
Focus. For elite athletes that is the name of the game. Focus is the biggest gap among competitors. The test appears during the most stressful conditions, during competition. Why? Well, it is easier to focus when you are practicing. The situation is a lot more relaxed with reduced pressure. It is during those high pressure moments, when you are competing to win, that your abilities, including your focus, are put to the test.
Most people give up just when they're about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game one foot from a winning touchdown. Ross Perot Everything we do is either to feel or avoid some emotion. How you feel does matter. Mindset contributes 80% to success. If your mindset is not in the right place, all of the information about marketing will not make a difference.
Balance. That is a powerful word. It is an empowering way to live. For many this is easier said than done. We all have an inner voice we hear as we go through the day. What tone of voice does your inner voice have, supportive or critical? Which part of you is louder, your ego or your intuition? Are you able to tell the difference? Are you more comfortable being in your head and thinking things through or do you tend to go with your gut and instinct? Your ego is self protective and typically fearful. The typical response is fight, flight or freeze.
Have you thought about making long, lasting change, but just haven’t done anything about it yet? Life can so busy and much of the day is spent focusing on taking care of stuff. At the end of the day, what have you done for you? Change can happen. Having a desire to do things differently is the first part of the process. Nothing will change, however, until you decide the time is right to take action. Typically something occurs and you are faced with your problem one more time.
Do you feel like a success? Do you look like a success to others, but on the inside feel like a failure? No matter how hard you try, you never do it well enough. You might be told over and over again about what great work you are doing, but you minimize it and only focus on the flaws. Even the outstanding achievements are not worth celebrating. You have a choice. You can continue to move forward in your career maintaining this perspective and never feeling fully satisfied. That is one option. Or you can make a choice to move past the hidden obstacles to your success.
There are no limits on what you can accomplish except those limits that you set on your own mind. Brian Tracy Do you know what holds you back from doing things which you know will help you to grow your business? What is the one thing you have been avoiding because it is out of your comfort zone? All entrepreneurs experience these things when growing a business. It is the choice you make once faced with something fearful which will separate the successful entrepreneurs from all the rest.
According to the Law of Attraction, you have the ability to manifest your dreams. What you focus on you get more of. If that is true, what are your dreams? Consider your professional goals and what you want for yourself. How big do you dare to go? As children, we dream BIG. Remember how the world held so many possibilities for you? You were able to be whoever you wanted to be. As you got older, there were more influences in your life. Some of them were very limiting and narrowed your scope of possibilities. Good or bad, someone else’s beliefs and values were imposed upon you.
What if everything you need for success was already available to you? You hold the key to your future. Instead of looking for the solutions outside of you, tap into your mind’s eye and envision your future. Everything you need is within you. Your mind is unable to discriminate between imagination and reality. This is powerful. Harness the power of your imagination and visualize your success. According to the Law of Attraction, envision your success as if it is in the present and has already happened. The more detail you bring into this mental image, the better.
Transparency. It has become the norm with social networking and online marketing. We each have our own barometer between too much information and not enough revealed. Wikipedia states: “transparency in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through.” Weaving transparency is important for an effective marketing message and branding. How much though is too much?
Does your burning desire to win drive you? Many highly competitive athletes believe winning is their primary motivator. It may be true for some, but not necessarily for everybody. Examine your real driving force and you may find out the actual core reason is to evade losing. What does it mean for you? Well, winning is an optimistic objective while avoiding losing has a negative focus. Winning is a positive goal. Do you desire to win, or do you actually want to avoid losing? What is the difference between these two? Either you are working toward reward or trying to avoid pain.
I first began rowing seasonally, only during the fair weather months. I couldn’t understand why anyone would want to row in the winter. After a couple of years, watching other people row all year long, I made the decision to become a recreational rower. Now I had the opportunity to row any time I wanted. Surprisingly it wasn’t “that cold” during the winter months. In fact, the winters were easier to endure because of my new interest. All this time I was aware of the racing team, but was unable to imagine myself in that group.
Congruency is very sexy to the Law of Attraction. The universe responds positively when your thoughts, emotions and actions all line up. Your positive energy signals the universe to take notice. Consider the things you say you want for yourself. What are your goals for your practice? To really be successful you must have alignment between your values and goals. Visualization is a powerful tool for reaching your goals. Vividly imagine yourself being in your ideal life, having a full thriving practice and supportive positive relationships.
All athletes experience fear at some point. It is the primary reason for failure. Defeat and walking away from your dreams stem from avoidance. It is not whether you will face fear; it is the way you respond once fear arises. First and foremost, all athletes experience doubt along the way. Eventually you will reach a level of competition which will stretch you beyond what you believe is possible. Is this when your inner voice of doubt kicks in? "I can't do it." "I am afraid to try."
“Do what you fear and fear disappears." David Schwartz When I first started my practice my coach told me I was going to learn to love marketing. I just chuckled. She had no idea what I thought about marketing and going to networking events while working in my counseling agency. I had avoided them for the past 12 years of my business. My excuse was that Steve, my husband, was more charismatic and enjoyed socializing. He was the outgoing personality and I enjoyed staying in the office working directly with our clients.

In today's fast paced world as more and more pressures seem to pop up every day, it's vital to reduce the negative effects of stress on the body. Just as we intend to keep unwanted weeds from our manicured lawn, the effects of stress can cripple your brain function. A daily mental workout will chop away those stress weeds and create a more ideal environment for your mind to function. Stress causes anxiety and mood disorders, you become restless, impatient. It's physiological effects include headaches, increased heart rate and high blood pressure.
One thing which really increases the chance of long term success is having a support system. Typically when you think about your support system you will think about the people closest to you and whether they “are there for you” or not. So often I see clients say they want to grow their practice, but don’t have a support system. The people who are closest to them are the very ones encouraging them not to change. It was okay when your business was seen as a “hobby” and did not interfere with other parts of your life.
How often have you heard the phrase “walking your talk?” When that does not happen there is a disconnect. What you are saying and what you are doing are two different things. When you have a discrepancy between your words and your actions, your actions will be the truth. People will pay attention to what you are doing and disregard what you say. We all know people like that. When they talk, they appear very sincere. I believe they actually are sincere at that moment when they are talking.
Deserving is an interesting concept. For some it is seen as a right and something positive. Others view it as a negative and feel guilt. When you think about deserving what are some of the thoughts you have? Do you deserve to carve out the time to grow your business? Do you deserve success? Deserving and feeling worthy go hand in hand. They are partners. Many times people are unable to achieve long lasting success because they do not feel they earned the right. Yes! That is right. Deserving something like success can be viewed as a right.
Your success is dependent upon your focus. Thinking about all of the day to day demands and everyone needing your attention leads to anxiety and overwhelm. This is energy draining. You are likely to get everything done, but will feel frantic as you rush. The minor day-to-day details can get in the way of the BIG picture. Spending time putting out fires distracts you from your larger, long term goal. This way of doing business is time consuming and tiring. You are constantly attacking things as they come up one by one.
The definition of a contract in Webster’s Dictionary is “a binding agreement between two or more persons.” Contracts have many purposes. We expect contracts to define expectations and purpose as well as limitations. They clarify the parameters in the agreement. Typically, they are explicit and tangible. This is the typical view of a contract. Then there are the negative contracts. Negative contracts are little known facts which have far reaching implications. They are typically between two or more people. There is no statute of limitations.
How you do anything is how you do everything! There is a connection between your thoughts, emotions and actions. If there is a part of your business which you are dissatisfied with, take a closer look and figure out why things are not working well. Discover the conflict between what you want and how you feel about successfully achieving your goal. If you have a deep underlying belief which contradicts your goal, you will hold yourself back. The good news is change can happen. With that being said, think about your business. Do you love what you are doing? Are you having fun while working?
Not everyone is a sports enthusiast or competitive person. There are lessons, however, which can be learned from athletes and applied to your business. Each and every Olympic athlete has a coach behind her, is part of a group and is driven to strive for peak performance. They have the determination and mindset of a winner, choosing to move forward even when it is uncomfortable. Although I have always exercised, my time was primarily spent in a gym. I became involved in sports very late in my life. At 40y/o I learned downhill skiing and sweep rowing in the same year.

Building Confidence and Releasing the Inner Critic “Realize you have choices about what you do, or do not want to do. Choose to get out of your comfort zone and say "yes" to reach your peak potential.” Loren Fogelman How often have you thought about your professional goals and how things would be different? You believe you want to take the steps necessary to move forward and grow your practice. Over time, the momentum and the desire begins to change. You’re not as focused. What was the reason you decided to start your own business? Did you get tired of your corporate job and feel you could do it better? Are you home with your family and your hobby turned into a business? All of a sudden you were out of a job and needed an income? Too often I hear from my clients they are working too hard in their business without seeing an increase in revenue. If you needed to create more income, would you be able to do this quickly? Purpose gives you a reason to get going each day and strengthens your determination to persist when the going gets tough. Purpose pushes you firmly toward your highest level of accomplishment." Ralph Marston Visualization is a powerful tool. You actually use it all the time and don’t even realize what you are doing.
“Release the negative in order to experience the positive.” Loren Fogelman The good things are always worth repeating more than one time. Reminders are important as you make changes in how you view yourself and your business. When you begin to change your mindset, you are likely to catch yourself going back to old ways of thinking and acting. This will happen. The key is to realize what you are doing and then refocus. Choose to shift your focus from negative to positive. If you are familiar with Abraham-Hicks you might have heard the terms going upstream versus going downstream.
Working toward a goal is making the choice to attain something that you do not currently possess. It is a milestone. Some goals are easier and more attainable than others. Choosing to grow your business and implementing all the steps, creates a challenge. You are stretching yourself. This might be uncomfortable. You will be doing things which you had previously avoided. How will you act when you are facing an uncomfortable task? Consider the obstacle you need to overcome to reach your goal.

Why does someone decide to work toward one goal, but not another? What is the difference between making the choice to take action or not? Some people prefer to stay within their comfort zone and primarily take action on goals with favorable odds. Others like a challenge and want to see how far they can push themselves. Brainstorming is the popular approach to discover creative new ideas. We’ve all been in team meetings where you’ve been encouraged to share your thoughts, no matter how trivial they might seem, without any judgment from others. In school sports athletes are sometimes put in positions which are new to them. They have been playing among peers for a long time, become comfortable, and then they move up to a new level of play. Some athletes love change and the challenges associated with it. Other athletes, however, have a comfort zone and would rather stay with something more familiar.
I love it when someone accuses me of playing like a girl because these days’ girls play a lot tougher than when I was growing up. Title IX was just making an impact on athletic programs when I was in school. In 1972 when Title IX, a federal law requiring high schools and colleges that receive federal funds to provide equal opportunities for male and female students, was established it didn’t need to be fair. The boys had several sport options and the girls were cheerleaders. Even then I knew I was not cut out to be a cheerleader.
To increase sales performance, sales managers must highlight essential areas of goal development for the sales reps to improve in. Even if the reps are lacking in many professional selling areas, it's best to identify and focus on one area for specific measurable improvement at a time. Next the manager must get the rep bought in on the need to practice and improve the targeted skill set. The rep needs to see the whole picture and clearly understand what improvement in the particular area would do to his overall success. There is a reason for under-performance in that particular area.

Humans, by nature, are masters at saying the word “no.” We are conditioned to focus on the negative. Survival of the fittest. We learned about danger and what “not to do” in order to avoid extinction. Many of the tools and coping skills we developed as hunters and gatherers does not apply to the world we live in today. Living at that time was dangerous. They had to always be on the defensive. The primitive parts of our brains, which focus on survival needs, have not caught up to the age of technology. Many people continue to live in a place of lack with the glass half empty.

These are just a few of the rituals reported by athletes.
“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all” Dale Carnegie When athletes get bad press it makes for good news. By the time an athlete’s problems get the attention of the press, damage has already been done. The athlete, and the team, becomes positioned to take a defensive stance. When you remove all the fluff and get down to the nitty gritty, coaching is primarily about feedback. How you get coached, the quality and quantity of feedback, is important. Too much feedback, or criticism without corrective suggestions, eventually backfires. Frequently athletes can’t choose their coach. On the other hand, athletes benefit from coaching. Your coach does have a responsibility to coach you well. Only part of the burden lies on your coaches shoulders.

When they grasp onto an idea, they stick with it taking the necessary steps to make it happen. Tenacity is a virtue.
No two coaches are alike. There is the good, the bad and everything in between. It takes more than knowledge, skills and experience to coach effectively. A coach’s style develops with time. Some are excellent at motivating their athletes. And others can turn into an athlete’s worst nightmare.
Peak performance. A buzz word used by coaches, trainers and athletes. What if that was only a small part of a bigger picture? By solely seeking peak performance athletes might be missing an even greater endeavor. High performance. Sounds similar, but different in quality and approach. Peak performance is a burst, hitting a high moment, then leading down to a rest period. Peaks and valleys cycle through. Consider how burnt out athletes are at the end of the season. Is the cycling of peak performance and then low performance a contributor, expending unnecessary energy?
What’s the downside to being an athlete? Should athletes be educated about the possible long term impact their sport could have on their body as well as quality of life down the road? And whose responsibility is it anyway?

When you finally realize you started out too fast in the race, valuable energy has been burned. Then more energy is used to regain focus, returning to your race plan.
If strength, speed and endurance are the foundation for high performance then focus, confidence and your mental game is the cement firmly holding it together. Athletes know why they ought to follow a specific training model, the best strategy to improve performance, and the plan to put it into play. So if the tools for high performance are readily available, why don’t athletes stick with the plan to get the best results? The simple answer is motivation. Like Jeopardy, now that we know the answer, you must ask the right question. How hungry are you to reach your full potential?r
In everyday life anybody is capable of making a difference in their community, it doesn’t have to be the prominent civic leader, politician or business tycoon, any he or she can seize the initiative. Following the crowd, going out too fast because of the other athletes around you, is a symptom of a habit. Under pressure, you are going to return to your old familiar habits. This is why competing successfully in triathlons is a mental game.

Organizations need to keep a watchful eye on not only their overall company sales strategy, but also at the individual sales rep level. Sales reps are the foot soldiers in the field. The sales reps have a direct line to their client base, they should understand the landscape better than their managers.

One of the reasons that the top performers of each organization continue to bring in a bulk of the revenues is due to their superior sales techniques. Some sales reps are more adaptable than others. They don't use a one size fits all technique. They learn to adapt as the situation dictates, they don't need a script to stick to. The best sales reps use a combination of left and right brain techniques to succeed. Is sales an art or a science? Surely it can be both.
Do you live in the past, the present or the future? Might sound like an odd question, but the majority of people, entrepreneurs included, rarely are in the present. There is so much that goes on in your daily life, whether someone wants something from you, planning to take care of the things on your to-do list, or changing a part of your business for improved results. Thoughts will stray to something which already occurred or something about to happen. When your thoughts are either in the past or considering the future, you are not in the present.

You are the one who gets burned." – Buddha When things don’t go your way, how do you handle upsets? You response says a lot about you. You are not alone, many people have a burning desire to release the power within them. However all too often action is simply not taken, days may go by, maybe months or even years and they kick themselves later. It’s never too late to do many things in life, it’s just your mindset and it’s definitely never too late to uncage the thing within you. If you are thinking about it, then find a way to do it. Some people have something inside of them fighting to get out, but they feel letting it out may make them vulnerable, however allowing it to eat away inside them is even more damaging.

Inspiration is the brother of motivation, if not at least close cousins. Some would even argue that inspiration trumps motivation. One could simply say that inspiration provides the high octane gas that can fuel your motivational drive. In some circles, inspiration implies a higher calling, something divine that propels one to keep pushing on against the odds. Individual inspiration plays a crucial part in sales, however we are going to examine collective inspiration of the entire sales team as a whole. Sales managers sometimes struggle with inspiring their team.
Sometimes we get in our own way. Do you know what I mean? Recently I have been working with one of the contestants for Dancing with the Rogue Valley Stars. A BIG part of our focus was transforming her perfectionist tendencies. She knew it was preventing her from fully relaxing and allowing her dance movements to flow. When she focused on her mistakes or not messing up a part of the routine it actually increased her tension. Dancing, like most sports, requires grace and ease.

Is there anyone alive that hasn't heard about the power of positive energy? Even though many people know all about it, only few truly believe in it. Perhaps some feel that it's just not possible for them given their circumstances. It's far from the case; you could be a rich man, but still have a negative attitude. The opposite also holds true; you could be the poorest man on earth and have a better attitude than most. One would have to assume that positive energy has been around since the origin of the universe, so if it exists, perhaps there must be negative too.

When you don’t fill a program or get a new client signed on how do you deal with it? Are you blaming the economy or too much competition? Or do you look at what you could do differently to convey the value of working with you? Pointing fingers at everyone else but yourself will not make a difference in your success. You have absolutely no control over anything, or anyone, outside of yourself. Blaming does not change anything. It only diminishes your power. If you knew how much your mindset affects your success would you continue to blame others, focusing on all their faults?
No great thing is created suddenly, anymore than a bunch of grapes or a fig. Let it first blossom, then bear fruit. Epictetus It is easy to talk about your ideals and dreams for success, but something else entirely to begin taking the first step down that road. Beginning the process can be uncomfortable and scary. On the outside your goals might appear well and good. Isn’t this what you have been dreaming about for so long? Within you there might be a downside to success. What would you have to give up if your dreams became a reality?
Have you noticed there are peaks and valleys in your business? At times you are at capacity and so excited about people coming to you, wanting to work with you. It just seems so easy. Then you notice a shift occurring. All of a sudden what looked like a growing business begins to backslide. Now you are scrambling to pay the bills. Experiencing that backslide is enough to cause some entrepreneurs to go into a panic. You begin to wonder why this is happening to you and try to rescue your business from going too deep into the red.
Think about a time when everything in your practice flowed smoothly. You felt it just couldn’t get any better than this. Even unforeseen challenges didn’t affect the flow; it was all going as you planned. Creating focus, clarity and presence of mind is akin to being “in the zone” when racing. All your training and preparation is being put to the test. Practice is over and now it is time to perform. You have done everything you can to prepare for this moment and you will do the best you can. Being in the zone is unlike any other feeling. Satori, a Japanese term, is a zen state.
"Health, happiness and success depend upon the fighting spirit of each person. The big thing is not what happens to us in life - but what we do about what happens to us." George Allen I am always looking for solutions. The concept of the mastermind group is vividly described by Napoleon Hill in "Think and Grow Rich". Consider the people in your life that are supportive of you. Identify the people willing to give you honest feedback and genuinely want the best for you. Who are the mentors, close friends or professional associates that you trust?
There’s much more to courage than display of force in a physical contest, courage should serve as the underlying x-factor in which we can exercise all the other virtues of life like wisdom, justice and hope. Courage should start from every individual daring to live their lives to the fullest potential possible. However some people appear to be flying blind in life, guided by a course someone else set for them. One must work on heightening their senses to a super hero level to help them aspire to a fulfilled and quality life.
Think about the original reason you decided to open your business. Connect with the excitement and anticipation you felt imagining the impact you were going to make in your community, being of service to others and feeling appreciated by your clients. Tap into the feeling of your business making a difference in their lives. How was your life going to be different once you reached your ideal goal?
"When you can clearly see yourself being there, you can see much more clearly how to get there. You can imagine the path to your dreams, and then start to actually walk it. Play an active role in your own future. Imagine with passion and detail how you'd most like it to be." —Ralph Marston Are you networking and marketing? If not, what is holding you back? If you are, does your passion and expertise come through with confidence? I have seen many sole business owners network, but they don’t do it with poise and confidence.
It may seem impossible to some, but you can find a way to earn a living doing what you love. Everybody is born with an innate skill, no matter how unique it is, on this planet you can find a way to monetize your passion. It may not happen ove ight, but develop a plan to see it to fruition. If it's something you really love to do, hopefully somebody else may have already done it.
Do some organizations still apply the usual sales formula that it takes 10 to 20 cold calls for each sale? If that was the case, a lot of reps who were low performing could just double the amount of calls the next month and success, right? Not so fast, if only if it were that easy. Yes, increased activity is important when considering low performing sales reps, however what if that activity only served to increase anxiety, stress and lack of performance. It's evident that most sales reps hate the prospect of cold-calling, yet many start their day with cold-calling.
Everyone knows the benefits of physical exercise to achieve that improved quality of life. However when incorporated with a daily mental exercise, there can be no better way of keeping out Father time. Something about water and the brain, after all Dolphins are almost considered almost as smart as humans and if they determined the IQ test, they would probably favor themselves. Also the Dolphin's brain to body mass ratio is greater than most mammals. Swimming requires more simultaneous brain functions than running and other strenuous exercise.
It’s fair to say that in the last half a century or so, women have captured more masculine associated traits such as powerful exte al strength along with independence and self-reliance. However men have made less progress in these feminine associated traits such as true compassion for others, deep honesty, affection and trustworthiness. Obviously women play a very key instinctive nurturing role in society, however men must be brave and secure enough in their manhood to dare to learn from the opposite sex.
Everybody would probably love to be working in a field that they love; however, some may feel that's just not possible given their current circumstances. If you are currently doing work that you no longer enjoy, try taking the necessary steps to get to where you want to be. It doesn't mean quitting your current job straightaway, it just means looking for opportunities to monetize where your passions lie. Start planning how you are going to get there.
Marketing continues to transform and social networking has speeded up the process. The old strategies of a hard sell do not work, particularly when the primary buying power is women. Marketing by force is not a good fit for women. In fact most women I know don’t feel comfortable with pushing themselves onto someone else. Or having something pushed onto them. It goes against an internal instinct to bond and form community. Being aggressive creates conflict. Most of us will do anything to avoid that feeling.
Do you know what your gifts are, your special talent? Is there something you love to do so much, you would do it for free? Whatever that gift is, you are the only one doing it. There might be other’s who do similar things, but no one is doing it quite the way you are. Your perceptions and your experience, makes your way of providing that service unique. Getting to the point where you are ready to share your talents and gifts with others is a jou ey. Maybe you always had a strong vision. Or you continued to refine your gifts over time.
Unless you are an island to yourself, so much of life has to do with relationships. Consider your relationships, personally, professionally and spiritually. If you were to rate the support you receive from the people in your life between zero to ten, with ten being exceptional support and zero having no support whatsoever, how would you rate your relationships?
The meaning of sales value can vary from one organization to the next and indeed differ from one sales rep to another. However the key is how the customer perceives the value. Organizations like coaches can call plays, but it doesn't mean it will work out. Is the customer truly getting the value the way the organization promised? Sales managers need to encourage their reps to follow through upon implementation.
Most organizations employ some kind of sales coaching program; however many don't yield measurable results. The top performers continue to make up most of the revenue pie. How can organizations motivate the under-performers? Should they use more contests and more bonus money? The top performers are usually the most motivated anyway, they will win everything. The worst case scenario would be that the under-performers don't even bother trying.
Many would agree that a body in motion tends to stay in motion; however, there are times even the most motivated among us need a jolt or two to get us back at full force. When we launch ourselves full speed into a task, at the beginning motivation comes easy, but gradually you may ease your foot off the pedal for whatever reason. Perhaps you've encountered a few challenges or tried to do too much too quickly. Whatever the reason, remind yourself nobody ever said it was going to be easy; the road to success is sometimes paved in obstacles.
Success means different things to many people; it can also differ from one culture to another, but one thing is certain, everybody seems to want success in one shape or another. It makes sense because society rewards success of course. It often leads to even more opportunities than you ever imagined before. Think for a moment about how you personally determine success for yourself.
As the economy continues to regain strength, sales managers are still struggling to get the most out of their current sales staff especially after the many cutbacks of resources during the recession. After research of over 1000 sales reps over a 2 year period, only slightly more than half of the group admitted to having their own specific goal development plans. This is astounding as sales people more than anybody should know the importance and value of setting goals; after all, they usually have to meet them on a monthly basis.
Martial art has fascinated people right from its inception. Some looks it as a protection while for others it is an aggressive form of fighting. But today it is more a sport than a fighting art. Championships are held across the globe and sportsmen representing different countries fight for the prestigious martial arts awards. There are fan clubs of martial arts champions with youngsters and teenagers constituting the largest martial arts fans club. Their passion drives them
It's surprising that nowadays people still remain skeptical about the power of the human spirit. Books like The Secret and The Power of Positive Thinking have done little to change people's minds. Michelangelo, Amelia Earhart and Graham Bell are examples of driven individuals with an indomitable spirit within who kept pushing towards their goals regardless of any obstacles. Some may feel that only those who are born special actually achieve greatness, but that is just not the case.

It's a shame that some people choose to maintain a negative disposition about their lives. Unfortunately negative thinking generally yields negative results. Consider whatever lofty goals you may have in life, you are likely not going to get there if you think negatively. If you always think positive no matter what happens, you will give yourself the best chance. The positive mind provides more solutions. It will not cost you a dime to have a positive disposition.

Is courage truly disappearing from today's world? Can you remember what courage meant to you as a kid growing up in modern society. Did you define it in the physical or moral sense? Did you ever take a stand on a particular issue? There's a great reason why most heroes all through history have usually been characterized as persons of courage in some shape or form. Courage has usually been in limited supply through generations of history, most of society simply flows with the tide. Hence when some people go against the flow, they often stand out and are lauded for their great courage.

An essential part of life should be achieving one's goals. There's a reason most self-help sources encourage you to write your goals down. The process of writing out and plotting a course of action stimulates the brain. It's important to note your exact feelings as you make your plan, remind yourself exactly why you are doing it. It's fair to say that many may write down their goals, but they don't necessarily communicate internally the importance of making those goals. One must ask questions such as why is making this goal important. How will it change my life?
