It's Your Pain...Take It To God, Not The Innocent

In the book of Genesis the man named Cain slew his brother Abel, because he was jealous that God had honored Abel's offering, but he didn't respect Cain's offering and Cain became distraught and angry with God and towards his brother. The way Cain decided to handle his anger was to let it manifest in the act of murder towards his brother and therefore the first murder in humanity was committed.

This act of violence had taken place on earth, but it had been planned in the supe
atural realm. Satan had defeated Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and now he had placed in man's heart the desire to strike out against anyone or anything that 'wronged' them.

Today's headlines are the realization of the pla
Satan had designed to shake his fist in God's face, that God's Creation, made in his image, was now bearing in his heart the likeness of the evil one.

What transpired last week in Charleston, S.C. goes much deeper than racial divide or the waving of the Confederate flag. Racial tension is a tremendous weapon in Satan's arsenal and he's using every playing card in that evil deck. The oppression that was placed on the black race has left a very dark cloud hanging over America and I believe we are beginning to reap from what we've sown. The young man who committed this horrendous slaughter in God's house was a pawn in Satan's hand.

When the innocent children were struck down at Sandy Hook elementary, everyone wanted an answer, why would someone kill a little child, who hasn't been 'spoiled' with the ugliness of this world? The individual who committed this act was definitely disturbed, he very obviously had no belief in a higher power, who has said, woe to anyone that would harm any of these little ones. Someone or something had ingrained a hatred in this young man's heart. He had problems and he didn't have a clue how to deal with them. It seems that the majority of these mass killings involve people described as loners, people unconnected to their surroundings and sometimes the brunt of people's cruel jokes or actions towards them. Whatever authorities come up with, pointing to a motive, showing careless disregard for human life, the fact remains that man's heart has been affected since Cain slew Abel.

Today our young people are bombarded with violent movies and video games, they may be doing drugs, but the core of the problem stems from a personality that cannot seem to pull their lives together. Stress from every direction, the pressure to succeed in a society that really demands that you must 'fit in.' A lot of children put on a mask to be someone that will be accepted even if it means acting in a manner that really isn't comfortable.

The easy access to weapons and ammo has definitely made the 'victim's' path to strike back at whomever has made their life uncomfortable or unbearable much easier. The hurt they have felt has been confined within, no mental help, no prayers to God, no parental discussions and basically no peer relationships. This is a recipe for a ticking time bomb. The public is told to look for warning signs, but these individuals have become very good at hiding their feelings and avoiding confrontation, because their lives have been a battleground. Whether a victim of bullying, abuse by parents, whether physically or verbally, the toll can and does become overwhelming.

The question that most people cannot get their heads around, is why didn't this person commit suicide? Whey all the reckless killing of innocent lives? I guess those questions can only be answered by God Almighty. I can only imagine that this person has felt so much hurt in their life, they want to make other people suffer the way they've suffered.

We all realize that life can indeed be trying at times. We have to make a concerted effort to instill in our kids that their problems, big or small, are our problems and we need to listen to their issues without passing judgement, offer solutions of how to approach the problem in a calm and rational manner. When a child seems to ignore your input and seems to be withdrawing from public contact, the next step is to seek professional help.

No one will every know if Charleston, Columbine, Gabby Gifford or the Colorado movie theater shootings could have been prevented, but I'm convinced each individual had been suffering some type of abuse for an extended period of time and by the time they couldn't handle it any longer and felt absolutely helpless, their next step would be to devise a plan to inflict their sufferings on someone else.

A normal thinking individual wouldn't take such desperate measures, but someone who has no spiritual upbringing and no support system from friends and family, sees these acts of violence as their only offering for getting even with a life that has dealt them a 'bad hand.' My prayers go out to all the friends and families who have endured these tragedies.

Satan placed the act of violence in Cain's mind and as a result he took his brother Abel's life. There will never...ever, be an end to this random violence until mankind acknowledges that the problem is within our hearts.

A hurricane was on a collision course with Iberia Parish Louisiana. That was not uncommon. Numerous hurricanes have pummeled this portion of the Gulf Coast in the past. People in the low lying areas of Cypremort Point, Louisa and Weeks Island and moved further inland to evade the surge and flooding that would becoming that way. There was one road from New Iberia to the “Point” and if you waited to long that road would be under water and you would be unable to get away to higher ground.r
