Stuck in Grief - You and Your loved one who passed over.
Grief is yours to own, and no one will ever expect you to forget your grief. Grief cannot just be cured or dismissed, as the hurt surrounding grief is there because of your connection with the loved one you lost. Grief can keep time standing still, and it is very common for people to not want to move through life anymore. Grief can make us want to remain close to the point in time of the grief, through maintaining the same surroundings, locations, routines and rituals.

When Faith Seems So Far Away
Recently, I was asked to minister on Faith at the Women’s Ministry at my church. When I began to prepare my notes, I started brainstorming on what personal testimonies I wanted to share that would go in-line with the topic. Two years ago, I would have been shy at the thought of sharing personal stories. But knowing who I am today, I can freely speak on matters that were hurtful, confusing, and degrading without getting upset. Many years ago, I was unable to think let alone speak on many things from my past because of the emotional distress that it caused.

Molded Clay
Molded Clayr By: Patrice Perkins My title choice, “Molded Clay”, is an analogy. I am using this analogy because in life, we are formed into many different shapes to accommodate life, and at each turn, transformations occur so frequent until your personality or way of living your life reflects what each turn has taught. This signifies learned experience. In the Beginning:

The Voice from Within
A voice within......we all have one - we just need to listen. It's a parents dream to be a witness to their child's first words. There was a time when it was easy to speak my little words of expression from that point in my life and receive a smile from my mother. But, as time went on my words became of little interest. My words needed to project my mothers thoughts, attitude and actions for if they didn't, I was punished mentally, physically - anyway to instill "she" was authority.

My Spiritual Journey in Reovery
My Spiritual Journey in Recovery The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost influenced my personal interpretation that I wrote for my ENG 190, Arizona Western College 1996. I hope you enjoy and feel the depth of my passion in recovery. “The Road Not Taken revealed the message to me, that if I wanted to live a Spiritual Life; I must take the way of The Road Less Traveled by M. I am a believe who struggled with co-dependency and alcohol. The first time I was exposed to the Twelve Steps, it was in Alcoholics Anonymous and they gave me sobriety from alcohol. I was on the 4th step working this program, when my sponsor sent me to Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA), and Co-dependents Anonymous (Coda) to find myself and identify where the pain in my life was coming from. In other words, my sponsor recognized her limitations and I recognized her frustrations in working with me. The last thing my sponsor told me to do was to go to my chemically dependent meetings daily.

Chapter 1 - Study of How It Works (p.13-15 Spiritual Infusion) Here is a simple study approach to use. I learned it when attending an Inductive Bible Study course. It involves three basic skills: observation, interpretation, and application. (1) Observation answers the question: What does the text say? (2) Interpretation answers the question: What does the text mean? (3) Application answers the question: What does the text mean to me personally? What truths can I put into practice? What changes should I make in my life?r

How to Have the Correct Perspective
With so many tribulations in life, it’s easy to lose the correct perspective and to focus on problems like the lack of money and time, between other giant challenges that we need to face every day. If we are not careful, we can easily forget about the great blessings the Great Creator of the Universe (Jehovah, Yahweh) has allowed us to have, such as: our health, family, friends, plenty of material goods, our job or business, and opportunities for growing and giving.

The book describes Benjamin as an extremely opinionated and very argumentative individual. Apparently, Ben Franklin with all his brilliance was very arrogant.

To Charge or Not to Charge
I am so tired of seeing the Body of Christ struggle financially. I believe that this is a misrepresentation of who Jesus is and it has to stop. Upon His birth He was blessed with what would be millions of dollars in today’s value from the wise men (Matt 2:11). He wore custom-made robes that had no seams (John 19:23). He was a wealthy man who worked closely with men of wealth as His disciples.

Faith is an Amzing Thing

On the other hand, when you think of faith it seems to be something that is more flexible than water, stronger than steel, and perhaps faster than a speeding bullet - but what is it?

He promises to give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19).

Its Ok to ask
It has been said we should be careful of what we ask for, hope for, wish for, and pray for-- as this infers we may not like what we receive. Why would someone not like the manifestation of his or her own request? Maybe the reason someone would not like the manifestation of his or her own request is, when it arrives--whatever IT is-- it catches them/us by surprise. If so, then perhaps we are surprised because at some level we are unaware of the essence of self, unaware of the true nature and power of the human-while-being.

Are we misrepresenting God’s love?
How many times have you heard preachers and well meaning Christians tell you how much God loves you? Of course in one sense, this is true. John 3:16 tells us that God loves sinners and gave his Son, Jesus Christ, as proof of that love. Without Jesus, we would all be headed to hell. However, the scriptures also point to God’s hatred and wrath. For example Psalm 5:5-6 reads, “Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence, for you hate all who do evil. You will destroy those who tell lies.
