Why Enroll Your Dog at Dog School in the First Place?
The first benefits of enrolling your puppy in dog school is that your pet will learn how they can respond to specific, well delivered commands. This also means that you as the owner must learn the proper way to give those commands. The problems with most people are that they don’t really understand this and blame the dog.
They think that the problem is with the dog and not on them. Just think of the of the dog training as a two way street and it can be more effective. Here are some examples.
Exercise– Are you tired of pulling your pet dog when you are walking down the street? When you are in a good training class, you can learn on how to control the movement of your pet dog so that you can keep them from running around and can ideally teach them on when to sit and heel when you are at corners and when your other dogs are walking by.
Alpha Status – The most important thing to learn is that you have to assert your leadership to your pet dog so that they will know that you are in charge and they are the one who should be listening to you. If these types of behavior have been followed in your home, your dog can have an easier time to follow your lead. Remember that having Alpha leadership is the cornerstone of good dog training.
How to Prevent Barking or Biting Problems – Two of the most common problems with dogs are when they are biting and barking. There are different levels in your dog obedience training for your pet and there is a part where you can deal with these behaviors and you can be sure that your dog does not act out of line. Biting should be deal with in a very young age.
Teaching Your New Puppy Basic "Cue Words" – In your dog obedience training, you can teach your pet dog the basic commands such as sit, stay, heel, speak and quiet. These basic commands that your dog can respond are important because these are the foundations of all other types of command that you can teach them later.
Enrolling your puppy in dog obedience training is very important because it can provide you with the basic foundation of some of the issues that can arise at home. If your pet is still under a year old or it does not behave properly, you can consider a class to help you started.
Extra Notes When it Comes to Dog Training From Home
Having dog obedience training is only the beginning to successful dog training. Your dog may learn the basic tricks in class but if you don't reinforce the training at home, and then you may have some problem. You should always be consistent and you need to be in charge all the time and make sure the people around your home can follow whatever your teaching your dog in your dog training.
Always keep in mind that your dog can only learn the things that they have been taught to learn. Always be consistent, reassuring and must be effective at giving your commands. When you start slacking on the obedience training commands then your dog will go back to its original behaviors and your training and money would be all for nothing.
