“Nothing great in the world has been accomplished without passion.” Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel

I called my business My Life Blossoms so everyone thinks it’s a garden business. And it is. But not in the way you might think. I see life in gardening terms because gardening has taught me so much. Professionally and personally I’m a gardener, just growing different things.

Gardening taught me personally first that nurturing something until it flourished and shared its beauty was very rewarding. It taught me patience and enjoying the journey, from the weeding to the composting, are all the foundation of a really great result. It taught me that having a passion, it doesn’t have to be gardening, anything where you lose track of time and forget the real life to do list is magic. It taught me that great inspiration for all parts of your life come to you when you are nurturing your passions. Our minds, bodies and spirits crave that creative outlet. The ability to embrace this passion gave me the confidence to move into a career that was coming from my nurtured and healthy spirit.

The beauty of owning a business is that I could claim any title I wanted and my title became Life Gardener. Simply put, I’m a grower of lives. My mission is to help women grow their lives creatively so they can fully blossom in total wellness, hence the business name, My Life Blossoms. It’s been recommended by marketing gurus to get clearer and call myself a weight loss / life coach and call the business ABC Coaching. My gut tells me NO, you can’t change it. I believe I would not be the coach that I am if I was not a gardener first. How can I run a business that is not truly me and supportive of my passions? It must come from the heart. I understand I may not appeal to everyone even when just referencing gardening in my business. But one day the word of mouth will be enough to propel my business and my life farther tha
I could have dreamed. If you see me, the Life Gardener out there planting daisies know lives are growing all around me!!

Exercise: Begin to find those passions and honor them. I encourage people to explore their passions as they journey through weight, health and wellness issues. Finding things that speak to us and make us whole become our new and fulfilling lives.
