We talk a lot of affirmations and changing the way that we think in order to change our lives here at The Prosperity Community, and while this is the foundation of what we do and our beliefs, there is something else that is important to do also. It is important that we learn acceptance, we must learn to accept people, places and things as they are, before any growth can begin.
Mastering acceptance can sometimes be tough, however if we don’t accept things, we can’t move on and will find it very difficult to change the way that we think.
Acceptance really is key to a happy life, when we accept what is going on around us, we will stop feeling angry and frustrated.
Do you have a friend who is always late, or a friend who is very opinionated, or maybe a friend who never seems to be there when you need them?
How does this make you feel? Angry, let down, frustrated, irritated? Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just get past these incidents without resentments that seem to build over time? You can… By learning about the power of acceptance!
It is easy to forget that it is our choice to feel hurt by other peoples actions and that we don’t really need to feel this way at all, after all other people don’t seem to feel this way do they? We often expect far too much from other people and when they don’t do the things we want or act the way we want we allow ourselves to be upset and cannot accept that this is just the way they are or the situation is.
As with most things in life, acceptance starts with us…. Self-acceptance is the first step to true acceptance…
Try this:
Accept yourself for the wonderful person that you are, and the things you aren’t and you will find that you are more accepting of those around you.
Put yourself in other people’s shoes, if you cannot understand why they are the way they are, putting yourself in their position will help you get a better understanding.
Accept that we are all different, everyone has their own story, troubles, problems and things that make them unique.
Look for the positive in every situation, this will make it far easier to be accepting!
Live in the now, don’t let the past affect your present, don’t project into the future and predict what has not even happened yet. Deal with every person, every situation and every problem as it comes, being present is the best thing you can do for yourself and your acceptance!
Once you have started to learn how to accept things, you will feel free, and you will find that life is a lot easier than it used to be…. It’s time to get out of your own way and start to live the happy prosperous life you have always desired!

Although the circumstances are not what I would wish for anyone, everyone has tough times at some time in their lives so this might work for you too. My mother who is 96 came down with bronchitis at the end of September. Two days after the doctor had diagnosed her she got worse so I called an ambulance to take her to the hospital.

Client Feedback
When was the last time you asked a client for feedback about your services and how your office staff works as a team? You might turn up some useful information by doing a client feedback session when their work is complete. I recently had an experience with a hospital that is an example of how frustrating a poorly working team can be. I wish they had asked for feedback!
