This moment is going to end. When it does, what story will you tell about it? Which memories will you store away to capture what happened?
What will you choose to remember?
You have the option to decide. They say there are two sides to every story. You can choose to focus on all that is right and all that is well, or you can choose to tell the story of everything that went wrong. If you think about it, your life is complex in that both good and bad things, welcomed and unwelcomed circumstances, happy and sad moments can happen simultaneously in the same moment. You have plenty of but, and, however, regardless and even though moments occurring at all times. You are noticing some more than others.
Your emotional reaction to a moment influences how vivid that memory will be for you. When something terrible happens, it gets stored in your mind as a stronger memory than something you don’t really care about. When something incredible happens, it creates a stronger emotional response when you sit back to remember that moment. You can even begin feeling how you were feeling during that moment.
When you think about it, good memories make you feel good. So why not feel good more often? Choose to remember the good. Allow the love, joy, peace and fun to bubble up out of your memory. When you feel good, you are more likely to experience the good in this present moment. Good generates more goodness, so when you choose to remember, remember the good.
Take yesterday for example. You lived 24 hours in that day. Which moments did you choose to remember about the day? Are they positive or negative? Did you remember the party you attended or the fact that they ran out of the dish you wanted to eat before you could taste it? Will you remember the people you were surrounded by and the laughs you shared or the people that did not come by? Do you put more energy into talking about all that was amazing, beautiful, lovely and joyous about yesterday or do you only remember the fly buzzing around your dessert plate?
What will you choose to remember?
If you have a choice, why not choose to remember how fantastic life is for you? When you do, life has a way of getting more fantastic. Why not use this moment to decide to remember the best of life? If you will, life will become more about the best it has to offer. Why not take this chance to commit yourself to notice more of the beautiful, more of the fantastic, more of the bright lights that shine in each moment. Do you see them? Do you see those wonderful things that are happening to you every moment of every day? If you see the wonderful things, when you remember them, you also begin feeling more wonderful. Life is sending you incredible gifts in this moment just because you are fabulous and worthy of good things. Will you choose to remember this? If you do, life will show you how true it is.
Yesterday was filled with all the gifts life could squeeze into 24 hours. Did you receive them? Can you allow them into your space? Does it make you uncomfortable thinking that this applies to you? Well, it does. It applies to everyone equally so if it applies to anyone, it applies to you as well. The gifts are there for you if you choose to see them. The incredible memories are stored right next to your disappointments, heartbreaks, losses and failures.

Human Diversity in Organizations, a Hidden World of Opportunity
As a seasoned Diversity and Inclusion practitioner for a Fortune 100 company, who has lived & traveled in several countries and continually engages in the marketplace with Diversity related issues, I see good inclusionary practices by many… on the surface. The end results however, indicate that all too often noble objectives fall short of leveraging the inherent contributions of most leaving a quiet brooding behind, or sub par productivity gains. Government and Business entities both espouse Diversity and Inclusion policies to foster goodwill and equal representation.
