If you want to know the heart of God and dwell there you are among those of us who want the power, the security and the love that is offered and waiting for us to embrace. If you’ve ever felt outside the realm of God’s grace and care read on to know what he wants for you. An old song is has the name Near To The Heart of God and I love it. It says, There is a place of quiet rest, near to the heart of God. I feel peaceful and free while listening to it or singing it. There is a gentle peace that lays over me with that song because he knows my heart. It brings freedom because he will be with me until the end of the age.
God promised us companionship with him. God said that he would never leave or forsake us. God said that he would bear our trials and struggles. God said that we never need fear or worry; casting all your cares on him, he cares for you.
When you’re down and depressed and cannot find strength to move past the day, count on him. Life is not easy when lived without the supe
atural power of our great God. People try it every day. Many have not yet realized how much worth there is in taking sadness and sorrow to him and leaving it for healing and renewal. Restoration is his specialty.
To be near to the heart of God you must let him know you are available. Period. Your will is His will and your strength – his. To be near His heart God requires one thing – yours.
Mind body and soul are then united to learn the workings and promises that God will share. He will never fail. People fail us. People forget. People do not forgive. People cannot save us from our selfish plans. God saves the day in every way once we commit to living a life that respects his sacrifice (His Son).
He will grow us into the blooming vision of beauty that he had in store for us. His direction will lead us somewhere when we were going nowhere on our own. If ete
ity exists, why are we not listening to the promises of the one who is Alpha and Omega – the beginning and the endr
Being near to the heart of God is His greatest wish for us. We then, love god with all our heart, mind and soul as he commanded - but it’s your choice. He does not go where he is not wanted. He knocks but you have to let him into your life. Without my Savior I would be lost. Although I am strong, my strength is not of myself but what he has given me. Although I am capable, my talents are those he has shared with me. Although I can love others, I do not fathom the reach and the depth of His love that he wants me to experience.
Encouragement and inspiration go a long way but we must decide who we will serve. Although I fail him and become distracted and fearful at times, he draws me back as though I had not been gone. His love never fails. If I want to be near to the heart of God I must be available and committed to his ways.
He commits to me his power, his hope and peace. He gives joy and takes away our pain. He is our friend and brother, our love
and our keeper. I want to be near to His heart every minute of every day. I hope you do too. Be blessed and bloom. Galatians 2:20
