Our Humanity

Succeeding is like winning a foot race. We cross the finish line, win or lose, with all that we have. There aren't certain "parts" of ourselves that we leave behind, even though in the arena of personal growth it sometimes seems that way. It seems like we leave our ability for frustration, or anger, or our self-directed make-wrong behind, when we do not. I have yet to find out if it's even possible to "change" in that way, and so no longer give any of my energy over to trying to "figure out" if permanent shifts like that have ever happened for anyone or not. It seems to be more a truth that we never leave any of our potential for being anything we've ever been behind, but rather, at some point either decide, choose, or commit to, no longer feeding any of our life energy to those negative possibilities for either feelings, thoughts, or actions, that once got in the way of our success. Yet always, our humanity, all of who we have ever been or will ever be, crosses any finish line we ever put one single foot over. What president have you ever known who wasn't still dealing with boyhood issues while in office? Think about that!
What then, does this conversation about never leaving behind the whole of our humanity, have to do with the intention to support us in producing success in all areas of our lives? In doing seminar work for breakthrough and transformation for years, with literally thousands of participants, I have seen a million variations of expectations for behavior that people have for themselves. Whenever they break some internal rule about "how they really should have, could have, or might have been" in any given situation, when compared with "who they either were, or are now and just can't change," then that's when the make-wrong starts. The effect that make-wrong has in our lives is to stop our forward progress toward successful goal completion. It literally removes our internal permission to be, do, and have, all the great things we desire, by deflecting our energy away from practicing what might now work for our success, and instead onto what definitely did not. This is because when you look for what's wrong that's what you will find. Making ourselves wrong does not contribute what's right to our joy, our satisfaction, our personal power, or to our willingness to find what works to have good things come our way. It does provide a release valve for the fear of success we have as humans, by providing a reasonable way to justify what appears to be failure. Our failure. How then, can we work with our reason, in a way that allows us to succeed with all of our humanity, so that our reason no longer limits us, but instead, expands along with us?
We do this through the powerful practice, over time, of getting used to being abundant. Practical practice is the basis for all the work and play that I ever do with people. In this natural way, by using the value of perseverance over time, we all expand our arena of truths about our humanity that we are willing to accept, to include changes for the good, and what we characterize as our failures as well as our successes. That's right, I did say we all do this. Through the sharing of transformation, everything that I have ever carried over any finish line is also being touched inside of me. Increasing my ability to reduce the time I stay angry, continually expanding my ability to communicate clearly, and the room I have to accept and then live out new truths also expands. Modeling is the most effective means for supporting people in having transformational shifts that I have ever seen. By doing this growing together, we expand our willingness to have, without slamming into our fear of the changes such abundance will bring. This play is about developing an abundance acclimation level that is continually expanding in size as we grow into having all of what is rightfully ours: our abundant and magnificent humanity, in all the many forms we choose to have it in! Forms that include intimate relationships, robust health, more than enough money, a cherished avocation, a fulfilling career, satisfaction, and joy. Our newly learned reasonable way to live. After all, It's Our Abundance, so we might as well Get Used To It!© All of it!
The question is: Are you willing to have it all?
