Personal Healthcare is a moral choice; government healthcare as planned is mostly immoral. #1. We should understand that the body is designed for self-healing. Cuts, burns and broken bones heal; so will ulcers. Even heart disease is reversible if we are willing to change our habits of eating, drinking or smoking and live in harmony with natural laws and the body’s healing mechanisms. #2. Government healthcare is really not healthcare, it’s medical care that is necessary when we don’t take care of ourselves. Medical care boils down to drugs and surgery and the evening news won’t tell you, but adverse drug reactions have made medical care the #1 cause of death before age 75. www.Squidoo.com/RxDrugsCauseDeath Nevertheless, leaders are determined to mandate this leading cause of death for everyone as was decided behind closed doors in a meeting with the pharmaceutical industry. This is no argument against those who want to have medical coverage and pay for it themselves. But why should I be taxed to pay the medical or surgical costs of my neighbor who smokes in spite of all the warnings? Blue Cross has known for 30 years that the medical costs for a few smokers and drinkers exceeds the medical costs of the great majority who do not use tobacco or alcohol. Is it moral to tax those who are take care of themselves to pay for those who don’t take care of themselves? If drugs and surgery really cured the problem, it might be arguable, sort of like the Christian thing to do as the story of the Good Samaritan suggests? But that injured man could not help that he fell among thieves who beat him and left him for dead. Here is where government has a legitimate role. They can pick up the medical costs of accident cases in which there is no coverage, but we need to see our health choices as a responsibility that we cannot put on the doctor. He cannot quit eating, drinking or smoking for us. We need to understand that drugs do not cure disease. They do afford relief of symptoms, but If they cured disease, we wouldn’t need to go back for another prescription. And drugs build toxicity over time so that sooner or later we develop another symptom and think we need another prescription. This is why every nation practicing western medicine is on the brink of bankruptcy. Summary: 1. Healthcare is free or inexpensive, offers maximum life and health, and results in freedom. 2. Medical care is costly, has become a leading cause of death, and results in bondage to the system. Government (wise laws) should favor healthcare and leave medical care to those who want to pay the price. Take care of yourself

Despite my initiative, right thinking, gratitude and all the self help theories, I still find myself tangled in the aftermath of that very unwise decision A decision made today, is like a tree that you plant.
