Self-respect a proper sense of one's own dignity and integrity

Things with value are so because it is what someone has determine it quality to be to themselves and other accepted that point of view. How you respect yourself is the quality you give to you. So think, how do you respect your body? How do you respect your mind? How do you respect your spirit? These are the 3 elements that make up who you are and how you respect them will determine the quality of life you choose to live.
Now, you respect your body according to what you want to use it for. That being for a purpose or a quick fix pleasure. When you use your body for a purpose, you discipline it according to what you want it to do. When you use it for a quick fix pleasure, it about what you think is going to make you feel good for the moment. You use your body to work accordingly to what you expect.
You respect your mind according to thoughts you willfully choose to entertain. The words you listen to and how you choose to communicate them, tell how you respect the information you have and how you receive it. Every time you speak, you are displaying what on your mind and what you respect.
“As long as you live merely in the physical and in the intellectual you set limitations to yourself that will hold you as long as you so live.
Dr. Sidney N. Bremer
You respect your spirit according to how aware of it you are. Not being aware of your spiritual need is a real problem as you go through the process of living. Many times it a matter taking time to just connect to the Devine Intelligent all around us.
These are 3 of the basic respect’s we need to have to begin to help ourselves become the best we can. You can’t respect others until you respect yourself. As the good book said, “Do unto other as you would have them do unto you.”
