Stop Yourself From Lashing Out
If you often hear from your friends that you shouldn’t lash out as much as you do and that you should do something about your uncontrolled anger, than this post may just be what you were looking for.
As you may or may not be aware of, you can control your anger issues and save yourself from a lot of negativity, and here’s how:
Think Positively
Thinking positively may seem hard at first, but there are ways you can use that can easily help you.
For example you can use a proven method – positive affirmations. Positive affirmations work by repeating to yourself like a mantra certain affirmations that you have pre-selected for yourself.
Good ones in this case might be “I am always calm”, “I easily control my temper”, “I am the master of my emotions” and similar ones, but choose those that fit your personality best, of course.
Accept The Source Of Your Frustration
Accepting what really frustrates you means going deep inside of yourself and analyzing what it really is.
Do you really think that your husband leaving the toilet seat up is what triggers your anger? It is more likely that what his action or inaction means is the real trigger of your anger and frustration.
So take some time when you are calm and don’t have to do anything specific, and think about what really frustrates you.
Slow Down
Slow down! In today’s fast paced world it’s easy to get lost in the constant rush to get from point A to point B, both physically and metaphorically.
Slowing down is not counterproductive as it may seem, because a fast pace of life brings with it much stress and stress leads to anger if it can’t be released properly.
Taking a breather every day, or a day out of each week when you don’t preoccupy yourself with work or even thinking about work will do wonders for your mood, health, and will help you easily manage your frustration.
Ask For Support
If you don’t know how to deal with anger yourself, why not ask for support? You can ask your family or friends, or if you are too embarrassed or have no one to turn you that you think might be valuable help, then there are professionals to go to.
There is no shame in admitting that you simply don’t know how to deal with a problem, and that you need help with it.
May people in today’s world disregard this and think they can do it all by themselves, but we humans are social animals and we live in packs for a reason, right!
These tips, if you try to give them a chance, will help you control and dissolve all your anger and frustrations over some time. So give them a chance and try them out!
