Some Thoughts and Quotes on the word IMPOSSIBLE
The next time someone tells you something is impossible, just Smile, nod your head and move on. In your mind you can thank them for the motivation to prove their statement wrong. After al who mare they and HOW do they know for certain that whatever in question is in fact “impossible”. The real fact is 99% of the time they are not qualified to make that statement.
In fact every day on this earth people are proven wrong and things get done that were supposedly “impossible”. So again people can choose to think what they want to think. But you also, can choose to not listen to them and think other thoughts.
Consider these classic statements from some pretty profound and educated men:
“Scientists have proven that it is impossible to long jump 30 feet, but I don’t listen to that kind of talk. Thoughts like that have a way of sinking into your feet.”
-Carl Lewis-
Lewis needs about another 7-8 inches to prove that one wrong.
It’s not a lucky word, this name ‘impossible’; no good comes of those who have it so often in their mouths.” -Thomas Carlyle-
“Things are only impossible, until they’re not.”
-Jean Luc Picard-
How good is THAT simplistic statement!
“This became a credo of mine…attempt the impossible to improve your work.”
-Bette Davis-
And you might be surprised what you can accomplish by raising your own ‘impossibility’ bar.
“Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools.”
-Napoleon Bonaparte-
As fools have no idea what the word impossible truly means.
“We are continually faced with great opportunities, which are brilliantly disguised as unsolvable problems.”
-Margaret Mead-
For those of you unaware, Mead has some of the best quotes ever, worth googling.
Finally we’ll end on none other tha
Mr Walt Disney, a man who has brought to life things only the likes of Willy Wonka could imagine.
“”It’s kinda fun to do the impossible.”
-Walt Disney-
Do something IMPOSSIBLE this weekend. Why the heck not?
