Forgive me – but I couldn't resist. While writing this post on mental fitness and a positive attitude, I felt compelled to throw in some inspirational quotes. Not only were they super relevant, but also because they’ve helped me greatly in my life, and ultimately, they are the distilled knowledge and experience of some great people who we all would like to emulate one way or another – and we can all only learn from them.
So...I know you may have seen many of them before, but that can only be a good thing, right? Seeing positive stuff - like inspirational quotes - over and over again can only help to motivate you and bring positivity into your life. And talking of repetition, we may as well start with the first one:
“Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment.”— Zig Ziglar
Thanks Mr. Ziglar. Continuing on…
The Qualities of Achievement
It’s never going to be easy. And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Being successful in any walk of life takes hard work. Whether it’s business, personal health and fitness, raising a family or whatever else it is you have set your goal at becoming successful at, it takes a lot of time and energy to succeed.
It’s just the way it is. The fundamental, universal law of ‘what you sow is what you reap’ takes care of that. (Is that also an inspirational quote? I don’t think so….but please comment on the post if you think otherwise….I’d love to hear from you!)
What may be less clear perhaps is what qualities one needs to have to achieve this success. Some ‘success’ qualities may be better known than others - and what we will discuss in this article is a "secret" that super successful people from all walks of life use to achieve this success - to push themselves forward and help them reach their goals.
The Hard Work Of Success
“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength not a lack of knowledge but rather a lack of will.”— Vince Lombardi
The journey to achieving your greatness, to realizing those dreams you so covet, will only come with its fair share of difficulties. You’ll come across continual rejection, persistent disappointment, potential failure, setbacks and other obstacles, far more often than most people will. But most people don’t aim for extraordinary results. And so don’t bother making that journey.
Success is hard-ea
ed. Always has been, always will be – and the difficulty can vary from hard, to very hard, to “This is so hard I’m giving up” hard. So to succeed you need to be tough. Mentally tough. And its mental toughness you’ll need to develop.
“Don’t worry about failures, worry about the chances you miss when you don’t even try.”— Jack Canfield
This is one of the ‘secret’ qualities of super achievers. Many of them know they're using it; they do it consciously each and every day. But, there are also thousands of others doing the exact same thing without really realizing that this powerful secret is the key to new opportunities, resources and connections in their lives.
Attitude is Everything
“Life has two rules: #1 Never Quit #2 Always remember Rule #1.”— Unknown
How you approach life and the actions you are prepared to take - your attitude, accounts for probably eighty percent of your success.
You see, your attitude says a lot about you. In fact in my book, it says everything about you - it tells the world exactly who you are and what you are capable of, as it’s the outward expression of you as a person, and who you have become over the course of a lifetime. How others view you and react to you is largely down to your attitude - it has the single biggest impact on the people you interact with.
“A bad attitude is like as spare tire – If you don’t change it, you’ll never get anywhere” - Unknown
Many people think that this (along with inspirational quotes) may be overrated or even nonsense, and there more important qualities one needs for success – but the truth is that without a positive attitude you will not be able to develop the resilient personality you need to have to bounce back from those temporary setbacks, defeats and disappointments you will inevitably face. A personality that is hardy, strong and optimistic.
True Stress Relief
“One good thing about music - when it hits you, you feel no pain.”— Bob Marley
You may come across dozens of solutions or remedies that claim to relieve stress in your life – but the truth is there is none more effective than having a positive mental attitude. Why? Because it’s a practical, constructive response to stress. Having a positive mental attitude means that you are generally focussed on the solution – what you’re trying to achieve – rather than worrying about less important things that distract you from achieving success. It shows that you have a positive, optimistic outlook on life - a quality that outwardly identifies you as a successful person.
But to achieve a winning attitude – the kind of attitude that leads on to success and happiness – means you have to work on it. Just like you need to work-out regularly to become physically fit, you also need to continually engage in mental exercises to become mentally fit.
“The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.”— Arthur C. Clarke
It’s a constant process – you become mentally fitby deciding, every day, to respond only positively and constructively to those difficult, adverse siuations that come your way, and asking yourself to remain optimistic despite any setbacks. This does not mean you are ignoring the problem and ‘hoping for the best’ – this means you are tackling the problem constructively, with a plan and a solution-oriented end game. So when the going gets hard - and you reach “This is so hard I’m giving up” hard, you are ready to face it head-on and win through.
The Universe is Waiting for Your Inspirational Quotes
“No on ever wrote down a plan to be fat, broke, lazy or stupid. Those are what you get when you don’t have a plan.”— Larry Winget
There are undoubted, direct, practical advantages to ‘planning positive’ – but there are also bigger, more long-term benefits that will benefit you that are less obvious. Continually forcing yourself to have the right attitude and respond to situations positively sends out messages to the universe that you are open, ready and waiting to accept the results and the rewards that you have worked for. And the universe will oblige – in abundance. Because it’s the law. And unlike man-made laws, the laws of the universe cannot be broken.
Developing mental toughness and a positive attitude is a critical requirement for great success in whatever it is you decide to do. And once you succeed, you can share your hard-ea
ed knowledge with the world in the form of your own inspirational quotes.
The world awaits.
