Do you have a dream? Everybody does; I have been dreaming to become a nurse. Today I can say: I did it; if I did it, if I reached my goal, you can do it too. Let this article encourage you to change and positively influence your life.

You can become a person you want to be and you can achieve your goals. How? It is not easy, but is not hard either. Before we move forward I would recommend you to take a look at your attitude and your perception of the success.
Every building needs strong foundation, right?
Your goals cannot be achieved without the preparation. When you read successful stories of the people who changed their life and achieved their goals you can see the different ways they did it, but there is one similarity; they all were dreamers. The power of dreams and the amount of determination were the key elements of the success foundation. What is the difference between the famous people and you? There is no difference except one, the amount of determination. You can ask why you should believe in what you are reading in this article. Am I the famous person? No, I am not; however, I dreamed about becoming a nurse, about completing Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and about sharing my passion to nursing with others, and here is: all my little dreams come true. Did I ever fail? Oh yes, many times, but I realized that I failed when I did not put enough determination into the plan. I realized also that if you really want something, if you have a really strong desire and if you never give up you can do it! Yes, you can.

What do you need? The first “secret ingredient” is the power of dreams. This builds the strong desire to get what you want. What is next? Good question, most people don’t even try to get beyond this point. If you do nothing or just a little bit the frustration comes next. If you repeat this process again (dream-desire-no action or not enough action-frustration) after some number of failed attempts you stop dreaming. ”- It doesn’t work.” Am I right? This is how the most people build the strong foundation for abandoning their dreams. Well, I don’t want to say that people who don’t dream don’t achieve their goals; they do, of course, but do they really have what they really wanted? People get their promotions, going for vacations, buying houses, but all of this happens within “the comfort zone.”
What is this, the comfort zone? This is area of your action within your usual places: home town, occupation, family and friends, simply the places you are familiar with.
Performance within the comfort zone gives you some achievement, sometimes really valuable and gives you also the comfort of doing “the usual staff” and you don’t have to be afraid of “failure” doing something new. This comfort zone save you from the feeling of frustration, but are you really happy with this? Are you afraid to get things into your own hands to reach the sky? I spoke to many people in many different situations; are they all really happy how they live? What do you think?

How the power of dreams can make a difference in your life? You have to start believe again.
When you were a child nothing was impossible in your dreams, become an astronaut, a movie star, or new planet discoverer were just as easy as walking through the park, with this power of believing the future was clear and bright; what then happened? Why most of us are not the person we used to dream about? The “experiences” of the adults and the calming touch of the comfort zone makes own job; we were told enough times that “it’s not going to work out.” Some remaining of the childhood dreams were pushed away each time you tried something new and you didn’t reach your goal. Your comfort zone getting stronger and if the people around you sharing the same attitude that dreaming and believing does not work; you become more skeptical about the chances that you can change your life. Most people believe in well organized world; “basic education-stable employment-average but stable income-retirement,” boring but safe, right? Don’t take me wrong, I am not criticizing this way of life; most people are really happy with this. So, what am I trying to convey here?
I am encouraging you to dream, plan, act, and achieve your goals. They don’t have to be a big; I am going to say that they not suppose to be big, why? If you tried to reach too high most likely you will fail again, why? Because doesn’t matter how much will you dream about the multimillion dollar mansion while you are living in a little suburb condo, your goal is too big to make it happened ove
ight and soon you become too frustrated to try again. But there is a way, you can dream to change your two bedroom condo into the three bedroom one. If you will think about it all the time sooner or later the opportunity will knock to your door (not literally of course), and you may find that the next block great condo is in foreclosure and little down payment will made you new condo owner. Believe me, this is how it works. If you don’t think about something you may walk along the foreclosure sign every day, but your frustrated part of your nature keeps telling you, “no, don’t ever try, this is not for you, it's too expensive” , but it doesn’t hurt to ask, right?
The same way you can achieve almost anything you want, but the only way to get it is to start dreaming/start thinking/asking/acting, simply put into it enough determination until it’s done.

Remember, dreaming small dreams, one at a time is dreaming big; each time when you make a little difference for yourself achieving a little goal your confidence is growing stronger and stronger. Keep moving toward the big dream; the second “secret ingredient” is to break down your big dream into the small ones. If you dream to complete your BSN but you are afraid you may fail, you are too busy, or you have another excuse don’t give up, do the first step and order the information brochure, next complete one pre-requisition at a time, and next … the graduation will come sooner than you think. What is next?
Only sky is the limit.
