So, I’m sitting here looking at a blank page and I’m wondering—what should I write about today? What have I been thinking about recently, what’s interested me or is there something that’s taken me by surprise? I hear the faint voice of a ten year old in the deep recesses of my head saying nuthin’ … just like I did when my parents would ask me “What did you learn in school today?”

And, so, I realize that rather than write about answers, I should write about questions. Some time back, I was involved with a year-long course of study in which we were told to answer four simple questions every night for thirty days. My classmates and I were amazed at the answers and how things were transformed in such a short period of time. To create that much change, they must be some pretty powerful questions. They are:

What surprised you today?
What challenged you today?
What inspired you today?
What moved and touched you today?

Try this on for size … answer the questions for a week, ten days, a month or a year and notice the changes that occur by paying attention to your answers. I’m betting you’ll be delighted by what you discover.
