As March and the season of spring comes upon us, it is critical that you start planning and equipping yourself for change. As you know, life has four seasons: summer, fall, winter and spring. However, most people are unaware that success also has four seasons: summer success, fall failure, weary winter and spectacular spring. So every three to four months, expect change to occur in your life. You must understand it has always been this way and it will continue to be this way.
Circumstances, are the storms, the cold, and the rain that comes out of nowhere into your life. Of course you cannot control your circumstances, but you can control your response to your circumstances. You cannot change your situations ove
ight, but you can change how you think and ultimately your direction ove
ight.
Start thinking about the goals and dreams that you have planted into your mind and heart. As you prepare for spectacular spring, some of your dreams will be ready to blossom, while others still may need to be cultivated. Just as a farmer knows when to plant and expect the harvest, you must also be prepared to plan, improvise, and expect success.
Have you determined the weather forecast for your goals and dreams? Do you have your strategic umbrella for precipitation or suddenly when things do not go as planned? The trees and flowers do not complain about the rain, because they understand it is essential to their growth. Remember, the upcoming rain, change and storms in your life, are just preparing you for growth and ultimately your greatest success.

About the Author
James "Bird" Guess was once homeless after high school, yet he personally financed his way through college and graduated with hopes of climbing the corporate ladder and becoming a rich executive.
But after only working a year in "Corporate America," James’ ambition and goals outgrew his corporate career plan and he decided to quit his job and risk everything to go after wealth, success, and the "American Dream."
Starting with only $1,000 saved from college, poor credit, and a dream to become a millionaire, James single-handedly built a quarter million dollar enterprise selling clothes from the trunk of his car.
After expanding his business model from retailer to wholesaler, he made over a half million dollars, cashed out and invested in rental property, and decided to pursue his passion more than profit.
James is now the President & Founder of JBG International Success Academy, a performance consulting company that trains and develops employees, managers, students, entrepreneurs, nonprofit and professional organizations to achieve their greatest potential. He is also a world-renowned speaker on performance, leadership, and financial empowerment, as well as the best selling author of the book How I Made A Quarter Million Dollars From the Trunk of My Car.
