ou need it. You want it. You miss it. You dream about it. You don’t have it. You may have had it. Where did it go and how can you get it back? It use to be easy. It never worked before. You wonder if you deserve it. You worry about losing it if you actually get it. They have it and you’re wondering what they did that you haven’t done. What’s wrong with you that you don’t have it yet? You’ve helped others get it. You’ve worked harder than they have to get it. It’s stressful to know you don’t have it. You may be working to make sure they appreciate it. If they really appreciated you, maybe they would give you some of it. Maybe you’ve decided to pretend you don’t need it. Maybe you can convince yourself that you don’t want it after all.

So what is IT for you? Are we talking about time, organization, happiness, money, courage, peace, love, fun, warmth, things, luck, comfort, power, relationship, status, fame, or maybe it simply means unspeakable joy to you.

The source is what you turn to when things go wrong. Your source is the foundation of your hope and your happiness. The source is the place where your it comes from. You’ve seen your source in action before. It always seems to know where to get it even if you don’t. Your source always has the connections to make it happen even in the strangest ways when you are open to allowing it to show up from the source. Your ultimate source is reliable. Your source is consistently there when you need it. Your source anticipates what you need and knows exactly how to get it to you.

Regardless of what it is, there’s one surefire way to get it when you want or need it. Can you guess what that way is?

The surefire way to get it is to be thankful for the it you already have. Even if you don’t have much of it. Even if you feel the it you have is so insignificant that it doesn’t count. It counts. Notice the it you already have. Be thankful and express your gratitude for it. Even if you really don’t have any of it, notice the it that others have and appreciate their it. Not in a jealous or envious way. Give thanks for their it with love and happiness. Notice the it others have as proof that it exists and it is possible. If they can have it, there is enough it for you as well. If they could use more of it, find ways to help other get it.

Use the most powerful tool you have to get it. Be gracious. Be grateful. Be open. Find creative ways to express your appreciation of it. Find ways to notice it all around you. Imagine yourself surrounded by it. How would you feel if it was abundantly available to you? What would you do differently if you had all the it you needed? Don’t wait. Go on and begin doing that now. See it everywhere. Tune in to the ways it is trying to show up for you. Allow yourself to trust the ways that it is coming to you. Be patient as you stay in a space of gratitude. List the ways it has come to you before. Remember how it makes you feel. Encourage yourself to feel as if you already have it. Visualize yourself having it. Stay in that space of gratitude and thankfulness.

As you focus your energy and attention on the thankfulness of having it and you get busy doing what you would do with it, you will notice that it has been here all along. You will begin to see that you’ve always had it. The surefire way to get it is to truly understand that you already have it and you’ve had it all along.
