There are many things that you need to be aware of if you have juvenile diabetes. Diabetes is a condition where you have too much sugar in your blood. There is a dangerous chance of over correction via insulin injections and exercise. Too much insulin, too much exercise, and not enough food are the reasons for low blood sugar.

Top five low blood sugar symptoms from the least to the greatest.
These symptoms do not always happen in order, some symptoms you may not get on a regular basis.

1. Headacher
The headache is the least serious of the symptoms. If you get a headache at an odd time you may want to check your blood sugar to make sure it is not a symptom of low blood sugar.

2. Mood Swing/Irritabilityr
Sometimes when your sugar drops too low you are likely to “snap” on people. It would be wise to let people that are close to you know about this symptom. If you snap on people all the time, whether your blood sugar is low or not, it will not help to let them know that this is a symptom that they should watch for.

3. Numbnessr
Your face and lips will go numb and feel strange to the touch. You may also feel numbness in the fingers and legs.

4. The Shakesr
Your body starts to jerk uncontrollably and you begin to go into a haze. It is a similar feeling to being drunk except there is a feeling of impending doom. You may also begin to zone out and stare out into the nothingness.

5. Seizurer
You become unconscious and shake violently. If there is no one around to help, you could die.

When the initial symptoms show up do not take them lightly because at some point you will not be able to rationalize correctly. To counteract these symptoms take something with sugar in it. (A regular pop, a piece of candy. etc.) It is possible and likely that you will overdo the sugar intake and go from low to high. A low blood sugar is very uncomfortable and you want to get out of that feeling as quickly as possible. Remember that it will take some time before the sugar you ingest takes effect.

When you are awake you should be able to recognize these symptoms. Take a blood sugar reading before you go to bed. You do not want to have a low blood sugar reaction while you are sleeping. It is entirely possible to slip into a seizure without knowing there is a problem.

Always be aware of how you feel at different blood sugar readings. You should be able have a good idea of where you blood sugar is at based on how you feel. Be sure to tell people that you are close to that you have diabetes and make sure that they know the symptoms of low blood sugar so that they can help you.
