I’ve written several blogs about the power of positive, it is a subject I love and the theme of everything I do. A question that I have been getting asked repeatedly especially when the book came out initially was and still is, ”what do you mean by think free be free, you mean if I just think about stuff it will magically appear?” To which I normally smirk and say I don’t believe in magic because I think it is just another word for ignorant. These comments seem farfetched and magical to those that don’t understand them because they don’t understand how they work, when you know how to do a magic trick it’s no longer magic. When you understand a miracle and can reproduce it, it’s no longer a miracle. So I will give a brief explanation of what think free be free means and how changing your perspective and mental state changes your life and everything around you.
For starters when you change what you think about you change what you focus on. So much happens to us all throughout the day that our brains have to filter out a major majority of it, how this filter works is debatable, but the theory I present is that your brain blocks out all occurrences that don’t agree with your belief and emotions. What this means is that you believe that you are stuck in a bad place and can’t get more or do more then what is in front of you, your brain will block out all of the information that would open door for you to get out of your situation. You have to believe that a more favorable life is waiting for you; you have to hold that thought in your mind first and believe it not just as a picture, but also as an emotion, as a passion. Then you can begin to see those doors opening up for you that you never noticed before.
The first part of all of this is to understand that your senses are not giving you all of the information for the world around you. Your senses are giving you as much information as your conscious mind can process about the world around you. You can’t control that world and indeed the beauty of this is that the world is filled with an infinite amount of possibilities; anything can happen at any given time. So I am not telling you to adjust the world because you can’t control that, but what you can control are your filters. You can control what information is deemed to be worth of your conscious notice, and that simply involves a change in perspective and a change in belief to believe that you are able and worth something more out of life and you emotionally believe that you will get them; you believe in fact that you already have them. That is the power that can change your life that is the power of thought.
