Time Management - Can this be done? Time is a constant, you cannot store it, save it, delay it, control it, so how can you manage it?
Ask yourself this question if you had more time what would you do?
The clue is in the question. What would you do?
Time is Energy, i.e. we will find it when it matters. Time Management is about being aware how you spend your time. i.e. Self Awareness
How do the values you hold reflect what you spend your time on?
Ask yourself this question? What do you want?..............Now some of you will be able to answer this quite quickly, some a bit longer and some never.
What do you want that will meet your values? Write down what your values are and then see where your time is being spent. Is the majority of you time spent on meeting your values? If not, what is the reason for that?
There will be things that you have to spend time on that don't meet you values, this needs to happen so you can spend most of your time of the things that meet your values.
Now answer the question, What do you want? and write down what you values are. Dr John DeMartini listed 12 questions to ask yourself from which you can determine your values
1. How do you fill your space? i.e. you only fill your space with things that are important to you.
2. What do you spend your time doing?
3. How do you spend your energy? You always have energy on things that are important to you
4. How do you spend you money? You always find money for what is important to you
5. Where are you most disciplined, reliable and focused?
6. Where you most organised and ordered?
7. What do you think about most? The most consistent long term thoughts dictate your destiny
8. What do you talk to yourself about? What do you affirm most about yourself?
9. What do you visualise and dream about consistently?
10. What do you want to talk about most in a social environment?
11. What are you most inspired bye?
12. What are your longest most consistent goals?
These 12 determinants give us an indication of what our values. So when you look at your answers, are you spending most of your time to meet you values, and are you allowing yourself to have the life you deserve?
