The kitchen is considered the heart of your home in Feng Shui, representing health, wealth and abundance. In order to achieve these life essentials, it’s important to keep your kitchen clean and clutter-free.
Here are five Feng Shui tips for enhancing your life with better health, wealth & abundance in your kitchen:
1. Assess what you really use. In Feng Shui, you are to keep only what you use, need, or love. As you clean and remove things from cabinets and drawers, ask yourself when you last used this item, and what the likelihood is of using it. If you want to keep an item you infrequently use, consider another storage area or make room for it on a higher shelf.
2. Clear the counters. Many appliances and other rarely-used items can become permanent fixtures on counters, keeping you from having the space you need to work easily. Remove everything, wipe down the surfaces and replace only the things you use on a daily basis.
3. Get good Chi energy flowing by making sure everything works. Fix broken things. Check that doors swing freely. Replace chipped bowls and sharpen your knives. If things are well cared for it signifies your intention to take the best care of yourself too.
4. Use mirrors to create more wealth. Stove burners symbolize wealth in Feng Shui. The easiest way to multiply the effect is by placing a mirror behind your stove to reflect the burners. This mirror also reflects activity behind you, placing you in the Command Position as you cook.
5. Balance the elements. Your kitchen contains four of Feng Shui’s Five Elements: Fire, Water, Metal and Earth. The usual missing element, Wood, can be brought in with a bowl of fruit or a small plant. Even a picture would do. When the elements are balanced, a space feels great.
Good Feng Shui is all about creating a kitchen that makes your life easier while sending a message of health, wealth and abundance.
